Not very aromatic

I got an "almond" essential oil roll-on from a medieval fair and it's the best smell I've ever smelled. It doesnt't have an ingredient list at all so I wanted to see if I could find an equivalent for when I inevitably run out because I wear it every day. So I bought this bitter almond oil to see if it was similar.This bitter almond oil is pretty strong when you first dispense it, but later on it smells like baby powder, kind of. Like a perfumey flowery baby powder. I was expecting an Amaretto scent like almond and vanilla and cherry I guess, but this is not it. It's not the oil's fault, it's just not what I expected.

It smells nothing like almond. It is also overly sweet and can not be used in making perfumes calling for bitter almond, or any almond for that matter.

Nice scent-not overpowering but strong enough to use to make skin care products
