This is the perfect dictionary for those studying modern Hebrew
This is the perfect dictionary for those studying modern Hebrew. Not only does it contain standard words and idiomatic expressions, but unlike many competitive dictionaries, it is legible! I use this several times a day and have had no difficulty in finding the appropriate translations. I AM NOT A HEBREW SPEAKER - so this has been a great boon to me in my study of the language.

Could be clearer (eg verb forms, prepositions etc) but does the job.

Good Dictionary
I find this dictionary a good one just like the description. I use it whenever I encounter a new word or when I need to translate whats on my mind to a Hebrew.

Sold as new but clearly second hand!
My much waited for dictionary arrived. It was clearly second hand. The spine was damaged in 4 places throughout its length and the corner of early pages were grubby. In addition one page was loose and folded at the bottom. I shall be sending it back and requesting a new replacement or my money back!

Good, but you will need a magnifying glass for the Hebrew vowels
Not a bad little dictionary. 18cm by 13cm. The English print is good enough to read without glasses for those who use a 150 magnification lens. The Hebrew is much smaller and though big enough to read with glasses the niqudr or vowel sounds (dots, dashes beneath and over the letters) are not. Fortunately I have a hand held magnifying glass which works well. If you are using this dictionary for Biblical purposes you will need to double check words online as some ancient Hebrew words differ to the modern, which is of course to be expected. One other small inconvenience is that the letter "Shin" has no dots over it's top so you can not know whether it is pronounced with an "sh" or "s" sound. You will have to check other sources to verify. All that said, it's still, in my opinion, worth getting.

Excellent, finally a dictionary just as I want
Excellent, finally a dictionary just as I want. If you can read and pronounce the nikud then this is the one for you.
