Does dirt stick to the silicone sleeve

For mine, yes hair and dirt stick to it.. and it smells very strong of plastic. :(

It says it is, but I have no idea the truth. They say bpa free and yet don't specify which specific piece that is or if all plastic pieces are bpa free... Or crazier still do they only mean the glass is bpa free? Tricks of advertising... ya know. I did like it, but have bought and broken two since, because they are so thin, so I don't buy them anymore.
