Personally, I like this version's Golden Banquet more - it fits Hua Cheng's personality more. I read this edition at least 4 times, if not more. The extra goodies are definitely worth it - bookmarks, nice prints of Hua Xie, a poster with the main characters, and you can make a "lamp". The exterior cover for the 3 books is hard, but the covers for each book is soft. In each book, there are very nice paintings of the main characters. The hard exterior cover is a poster on its own - front and back.Well worth the price. Highly recommend!!

It's so beautiful and in excellent quality! I'm very satisfied with what I ordered, I will try my best to read it even though I don't know chinese. I'm happy:)

Absolutely worth every dollar!! The corners of the box came a little damaged but everything else is perfect!! I can't wait yo put everything on display!!!

The other reviewers were not kidding about the amount of goodies this product contains! You got bookmarks, you can make a "lantern" of sorts, and more. I loved the quality of the books as well, no issues there.I loved the chinese version because many of the idioms and references come across better in the native language, not to mention it saves so much space compared with 10 english volumes (p.s. I brought those too since target had a buy 1 get 1 sale, what was I suppose to do?)Lastly yes this also the last volume here also contains the many side stories of what happened after the official ending.

I believe the "hardcover" refers to the box around the books, because the books themselves are not hardcover. They are beautiful, the price is good, and the shipping is fast. I am happy with this purchase, overall, but I feel the texture of these books should be more clearly explained, as the books themselves are paperback.

The packaging of these books are so beautiful! They are paperback, but the cover they are incased in is hard. Also the cover can be opened and it is beautiful as well. The goodies inside made me so happy!

The extras are really good quality!
