Q: Is this strong enough to keep out mice?

Yes, its heavy duty and will definitely keep mice out. Don't leave too much of a gap to the floor and it'll work great. Have used it in a rural setting for two years now and its holding up fine.

Q: will this get stuck going over the entry carpet or is it flexible enough that it will maneuver over it both when opening and closing the door?

Not designed to be very flexible. We use these on commercial exterior doors that open outward. They are very good for that.

Q: My door swings inward; which side should it be installed on?

Our doors swing outward and we mounted on the outside. Sorry, not sure. I want to say mount on the inside so it seals when the door is closed?
