It was worth the cost before September 6th
Starfield: Premium Upgrade: $34.99 at the time of reviewThis review is going to be short and sweet. I'm not reviewing the actual game of Starfield here. I'm an Xbox game pass subscriber, so I didn't even have to buy the full game. However, my schedule was jam packed at the beginning of September, and I knew that if I didn't order the upgraded version to be able to play a few days early, my game time was going to be limited. So I dropped the $35 bucks for the premium upgrade (I opted for the version with a physical iron on patch and steel case) with five extra days of play.Personally, it was totally worth it to me. Those five extra days started on a weekend so, I was able to get about 20 hours into the game before I headed out of town. Add to that a steel case that I can display with my other games, as well as a constellation iron on patch which I will be putting on my messenger bag, and I love this option. The way I look at it, is that it saved me 35 bucks over buying the full retail copy of the game. All of that having been said though, it might be a little harder to justify this upgrade now the game is in full release. Part of the point of this was being able to play early, and that time is come and gone. So take that into account before you order. But otherwise, this upgrade was five stars out of five from me. Between the steel case, patch, extra story mission, and early game time, it was a home run.

Nice bonus addon for the Game Of A Generation
I've already logged 50 hours into Starfield just via early access and I am hooked. Absolutely great RPG. You will be playing this game still years from now. That said, this is for the Premium upgrade, which includes a really nice steel book a Starfield logo patch, some bonus in game skins, digital art book and soundtrack and the most important: access to the first story expansion when it releases. It also included early access for 5 days, but that doesn't matter now since the game is out.All in all, a nice package for people who like the game itself and want a nice display case and the first full expansion. This doesn't include the game and never claims to, some reviews are giving it 1 star for not mentioning that. But it's clearly on the item description: "requires the digital standard edition or Xbox Game Pass for early access" right there, reading comprehension is key.

Know what you are getting
This is basically paying pre order for DLC and a steelbook and a Constellation patch. If you ever decide to buy a physical version of the game you can put the disc in the steelbook. Really a fanboy and cosplay purchase but it was nice to play a few days early because I am a big BGS fan. Quality of the steel and the patch is nice, not sure about the DLC guess ill find out when its released. I love the game so far

Nice steel book
Buying this edition I was skeptical at first , I didn’t like the idea of selling an extra edition with no physical copy , but I had to buy it since I collect steel books and let me tell you that this steel book is amazing , the colors and the quality are so good .

Bethesda at its Finest
If you really enjoyed Bethesda’s Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, and if you liked The Outer Worlds, you’ll really like this game. The overall experience is very polished, the in game universe is huge, and most importantly for Bethesda games, there are very few bugs at launch. Dialog is well written, and there are some newer more unique features that previous games didn’t have. The main quest line is mysterious and the side quests are a lot of fun. It’s not a full space sim, so if you’re expecting something like Star Citizen you’ll be disappointed, but if you want something like Fallout in Space, then this is the game for you.

Cool Metal case for my already existing standard physical copy
this is exactly what i wanted!! I already have the physical disc standard addition. this is just an empty case with a add-on redeem code. The case is metal with a cardboard sleeve, and comes with a patch(kinda dumb, wish it was a handful of stickers too). The case fits my game with room to spare. it has a deep disc slot, like it could hold multiple discs.

The box store of gaming.
Duller than watching cement dry. Riddled with bugs, such as mission directional pointers that go to the wrong place, or go nowhere. Necessary prompts that don’t appear: board ship. Informational prompts that disappear after a second. No maps. NCO’s are zombies. “Galactic” travel is via the same cut scenes. Pick up more than the basics and it’s being encumbered time, which means no fast travel to the ship. The ship is as exciting as rain drops on a dirty window. Graphics and writing are both on a level below AI. Why go on…except, sure, it’s time to go through the inventory.
