Good fun bit of science
Certainly a bit of a different craft activity. Bring able to use the solar panel and, eventually, the banana bio gas was interesting and rewarding. A good conversation point with 5-8 year old. Need a bit of Sun obviously to get the full benefit.

A fun kit, one of the better of the set
Although this is a vine review, I've had a few of the galt stem products before. I'd definitely say this is one of the better ones for around early - mid key stage 2.What I mostly like about it is things like the functional items you get, such as the solar panel. While it might take some adulting, it is totally possible to convert it into some other practical use after the experiments provided is complete. All the experiments take a form of power generation, particularly renewables, but shows how it works in a practical way.Very nice set, if you got one of the galt sets I think this is the one.

Great educational fun
I've had a few of these Galt STEM sets in the past and they are all very well made, fun and most importantly educational. This Power Lab is no different. I ordered this for my 5-year-old to do and while it's aimed at a slightly higher age bracket she still had lots of fun with it with a little help with the glueing bits.Overall its a great kit and we had lots of fun with it.

Great fun
A nice kit which is fun to do. The instructions and booklet which includes information on green energy and the climate are really well produced and you can tell a lot of effort has gone into writing it.The kit itself is easy to construct. I did it with my 5 year old daughter who is slightly under the recommended age. She could have probably done it herself but some of the glueing parts are quite intricate. The logic of it is a little odd though. A solar panel providing power for a windmill doesn't make a great deal of sense, but it at least is a good visual to see how the solar panel works. Also the light bulb inside the house is way too dim, especially given that you need sunlight to power it, it then can't be seen as it's too bright.Unfortunately my daughter popped the balloon before I realised so we weren't able to do the banana biogas experiment, but we shall do it at a later date.My daughter liked it that much that she took it to school for her 'show and tell' and got a round of a applause from her classmates :-)

science kit
You don't get a lot for your money but it's a way of spending a couple of hours on a rainy afternoon that doesn't involve a screen, which is kind of novel these days. Instructions are easy enough to follow and the results entertained my kids for a bit (before the screens started calling to them again). Galt stuff is pretty good anyway, so worth the fairly inexpensive asking price.

A good reasonable experimental kit
As always with Glait they always deliver on price and value. This is no differ to that. Recently my daughter has become more instrested in Stem related experiments and information. This gave us a couple of hours of fun when the rain was lashing down. Unfortunately I wouldn't suggest your child to do this on your own and would have adult supervision as some parts of this can be dangerous however we'll worth the money and you'll won't be disappointed.
