Yes, lots of room for crumpets or muffins.

What length bread can this take?

An ordinary sliced loaf is fine but my husband does have to trim a tiny amount off his pitta bread - hope this helps - we got this in place of an expensive Bosch which was recalled and are very happy with it.

What are the measurements of the slots

Roughly 165mm by 30mm. They're also just about 130mm deap.
