Primitive
I bought this to replace a family sized GF grill that was giving up the ghost after 15 years. (but was perfectly happy with)Clearly families (or grills) have shrunk since then. This will just fit 2 slices of bread. Does it have super advanced 21st century modern features like an "on" switch: No. Does it have a timer: No. Does it have any functionality whatsoever No. You turn this on by plugging it in and if you forget to turn it off at the plug it will continue to rack up your electricity bill forever. Even the quality is poor. It weighs half what the old one weighed and the "moveable feet" are thin cheap and nasty plastic that will break if you look at them. It's the most primitive piece of electrical equipment I've bought since the 80'sThis was reduced from £44.99 to £19.99. so I assumed I was getting an end of line bargain. I actually got what I paid for. Cheap tat. I've no doubt the non stick surface will be peeling off soon.My advice - buy a better one as the last George Foreman I had was great.

GOOD BRAND – BUT A FEW CRITICISMS
We needed to replace a previous George Foreman grill we have had for many years so decided on this model. It looks and feels the level of quality we have come to expect from this brand and we have made Panini’s and toasted sandwiches on it and it performs well as expected. The lid feels a bit too flexible although it adapts well to any thickness of Panini and overall the lid works fine but I hope the hinged mechanism of this new model doesn’t cause any long term problems. The non-stick grill plates are so easy to wipe clean and the drip tray fits snugly under the front so I like that. I noticed that this new model heats up much quicker than our old model and it has the same RED and GREEN indicator lights on the lid to show when it is ready to use – changing from RED to GREEN when hot enough. My two criticisms would be that it is described as a 5 Portion grill – it is not a problem for my wife and myself but it doesn’t look like it would accommodate 5 decent sized portions of chicken breast or burgers. And the heat generated on the lid when it is being used shocked me – it really does feel much hotter to touch than our older model – and I am talking about hot – not just overly warm – it becomes hot so I am careful now when using it.Apart from those important criticisms the new grill works well and will hopefully last as many years as our previous one.

Perfect for cooking meats
This grill is great for cooking all kinds of meats. I’ve used it almost everyday since buying it. Some key points to this grill are that:*It’s either on or off, not temperature control*Not as easy to clean as people have claimed. When I cook burgers and other fatty foods I find myself cleaning it for 5-10 minutes.*It’s quite large, I wouldn’t say 5 portions but it’s perfect for me and my partner to cook our dinner onTo make a long story short I do rate this grill very much and would recommend this to anyone looking for a simple cheap grill to help speed their cooking process up.

Too small for 5 portions...
Okay so i bought this mainly to cook chicken breasts. I can only fit 3 breasts on it at once so def not 5 portions. I found that the grill burnt the outside of chicken breast within a few mins and left inside raw. I cut breasts in half so they were half the thickness and this cooked all way through but it was again burnt, tough and dried out after just 3 mins. With no temp control i cant see me being able to fix this problem.

To hot to handle.
While small and effective it is really not very practical. The grill feels a bit flimsy and the hot plates appear to be some form of plastic! That said, it heats up quickly and does cook [some types] food well. However, there are plenty of things it will not cook and I put this down to the hotplates being too hot! The lack of temperature control means I have found it ruined fish [burnt it onto both top and bottom plate], overcooked bacon before the fat had the time to crisp. However, it did cook sausage well and I am hopeful it will cook a burger right through without cremating the outside. So, if you are happy to cook with out the means to alter the temp this is the grill for you, but I would not be buying this again if I had tried before I purchased. Needs temp control to be useful. I now expect this will stay in a cupboard until we get around to a clear out and then it will be thrown away!

Great
This is the perfect size for 2-3 people, works well, easy to store and clean. A cleaning tip I found, which works very well is to place a wet paper towel on the grill after use while it is still hot and you will find anything stuck on the grill will wipe off easily. Great for making toasted/grilled sandwiches, two slices fit side by side easily.

Not Great for a Gift
These are fabulous grills - hence buying this as a gift for someone. I would not, however, EVER buy one from here again because it has just arrived, unwrapped and just in its box. This is completely fine in terms of it being a sturdy, cardboard box so the thing is protected, but it means there is a MASSIVE Hermes sticker all over the front of the box with my address on it and where I bought it is there for the recipient to see. REALLY not acceptable. Unsure what to do. Stupid nuisance; I have tried to peel it off; it looks like it's going to ruin the box. How annoying and frustrating. I have never seen this happen before. A new level of stupid for me to experience tonight!

Its good
I have used this a few times now and it’s pretty good. I bought the 5 portion one as people had told me the 4 portion was small, I find the 5 portion big and plenty big enough for just the two of us, though it is heavy and bulky to store. My first attempt was to cook bacon and sausages together, that was messy not that good as the lid closed on the sausages ok but of course the bacon it could not reach. After that I have done sausages on their own and its good though I still find they come out a bit fatty, though they taste a lot better than if oven or cooker grilled.Cleaning it is a bit of a pain, I leave it cool with some water on the plates so its soft to wipe off. I gently clean it and then finish with a dab of olive oil and so far ok. Its easier to clean the a the full cooker grill and quicker too, I am happy with my grill.
