Worked for my project
It's hard to see in the picture, but we needed to cover a fenced in area to keep our chickens in. So I looked for some netting that was wide enough and long enough to cover this space. This was a good sized piece and did the trick.Whenever we get a new flock of chicks, and they start learning to fly a little, they end up on the fence and we've lost one that way. It decided to roost outside the coop and in the morning it was gone. We have racoons in the area and we're afraid she was dinner for the coons. There are also hawks that would love the same dinner. They will swoop down and grab the chicks when they are smaller and make off with them.So this solution solves both problems. The chicks grow up used to the fact that they can't fly up and escape. In the past we've used some cording/string to weave back and forth across the top, but still some birds have gotten down in the chicken run and eaten a lot of the bird food, so this solution will stop any birds from being able to get inside the chicken run and coop. It's a good size because the holes aren't too small to become a landing place for leaves, but they also aren't too big to allow the quail or other birds in with the chickens. We've had wild birds get stuck in the coop and they freak out when we come to check on the chickens so it's just best to keep them out.The netting works well. We didn't really even have to attach it to the fence. It sticks really well to it. My hubby was very satisfied with my idea to order this. He was excited to get it set up for our new chicks. We let them outside the coop after setting this up and they were in heaven!

No guarantees it will do the job!
Light weight and the wind here in Northern Nevada is always a problem. Don't think it is for my garden. We have a lot of critters and the baby squirrels think it is entertainment to mess with it, climbing on, going under it and through it.

Strong, durable, cuttable, easy to use
I ordered this net because it can be cut to size, unlike a lot of others I looked at. It’s easy to cut - note that the ends should be knotted to prevent it from coming apart once cut.I’ve had it around a couple small plots of plants/veggies for a few weeks and so far, so good. No deer, squirrels, or rabbits have been caught munching on my food. The squares are about 2.5 inches. Small animals could get through but it’s the larger ones I’m concerned about. The net is very strong - I couldn’t pull it apart no matter how hard I tugged.I also like that it can be reused. It’s a really good net, but I wish it could also keep insects off my greens!~Note that you will need some poles to attach it to.~

Nice. But a little tedious to work with.
This netting -- and there is a LOT of it -- comes wound and looped through itself much like a big bundle of yarn. Took me a few minutes to find the end and begin the unraveling . . . Not too unlike trying to undo a knot in the chain of a necklace. I got this to build up a bit of an additional barrier on a raised planter bed to keep out the local wildlife, and our dog that loves to pick and eat cucumbers. The netting itself working great so far, and the webbing is open enough to pretty much disappear from view, but enough to keep out the big critters we don't want rooting through the garden. Definitely a better alternative than the wire mesh I had originally intended to use.Installing is a bit tedious because it's a continuous piece of netting, and snags and grabs on just about everything. But it just requires a good bit of patience, and an extra set of hands definitely helps.

Strong Mesh that Cuts Easily but Doesn’t Tear
I have an issue in my raised bed garden where the birds are plucking out the seedlings for my cucumbers and squash for no apparent reason. I already have netting similar to this over some of my other beds and recognized I would need more to protect my tender seedlings.I have suspended it over the trellises that are already installed in the garden bed to keep the birds out and it seems to be working. It is made of a strong mesh that doesn’t tear easily. It lets plenty of light and water through so that my plants can still thrive. This netting is not the plastic kind but is made of thin nylon rope. Probably 1mm to 1.4mm, similar to the string used to hang the tubes on wind chimes or for cheap camping hammocks.Any cons? When installing it or bushing up against it, it drives me crazy because it snags on everything: bed edges, leaves, and even me, and it catches everything that is carried by the wind. It can also tangle on itself quite easily if you’re not careful when installing it and suspend it will above plant leaves and fruits or they will tangle into it as well.

Give your money away first.
I have never left a review but this stuff is terrible. You can’t unwrap it, I finally after 3 hrs cut it in pieces, still hard to get on. It is the worst I have ever used, but lesson learned, don’t try to save money.

Feel like twisted braided cotton.
GreatBuddy Black Bird Netting for Garden, 25x50ft with Mesh Size of 2.4 Inch, Protect Poultry Vegetable Plants and Fruit Trees from Birds and Other Animals, Nylon Trellis Netting, Reusable & Heavy Duty. This is interesting material, the listing states this is nylon but it feels like a twisted natural fiber, it feels very much like cotton. The perimeter of the net has a red webbing straps to secure it, but it's a net, you can secure a net anywhere. We bought the 25ft x 50ft to cover a dog kennel cage 10ft x 10ft, which we use to keep critters from our vegetables. We think this is a good value well made net.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.
