My granddaughter was thrilled with the helmet. She loves to do artwork, so this gave her the chance to create something she will be using and wearing every day.

I ordered a medium at first which was huge for my 7 year old daughter. The company sent us a small to replace it so great customer service and they were very easy to work with, which I really appreciate. The medium fit her head because it is adjustable but the helmet itself looked super huge on her head. Like it looked like she might fall over because it was so big. The small fit much better.The pens are a little bit tricky to use as you have to push down on them to get the ink out. Messes were made. The ink can be wiped off if you get to it quickly before it dries but once it is on there, it is hard to get off. We found that GoJo scrubbing soap with a paper towel worked to correct mistakes. but that often meant starting all over. My daughter had some trouble with a blue pen leaking all over her, the helmet and her clothes. It seems to be permanent ink so a smock or coveralls would be a good idea as the wash didn't get it out of her clothes and it was on her skin for days. There were tears, mainly because she didn't like her drawings and it is permanent but also because of the mess that was made on her and her clothes, but she also really enjoyed decorating her helmet in her own design and loves that she has it. Maybe just warn your kid to really think through the drawing and maybe even practice it first. I'm curious to see how it looks after a lot of use but so far, they look great and the ink stays on the helmet well. There are always stickers to cover bad drawings if needed.5 star helmet but 4 stars because the pens were a little tricky for little kids and made things messy. I'm sure an adult would have no trouble but since I think these were aimed at kids, I would say the pens were more challenging than expected.

My youngest daughter is in a graffiti stage and this helmet satisfied that itch. The helmet is solid. It is very comfortable for her to wear and she is very proud of her design. The paint is not permanent enough and it does rub off, but it doesn’t bother her a lot. There are some designs that she has had to repaint with more permanent markers and materials.Definitely Recommended!

I ordered this for my 8 year old. He was super excited to draw on this so we did a few practice drawings on paper first.We did get frustrated as we're not used to drawing on a curved surface.The helmet is a bit bulkier than the other kids helmets we have but it fits nicely on my child's head.

What better way to engage my 12 year old daughter and make her excited about something as boring as a bike helmet! She loves the fact that she was able to do the artwork herself and she just happens to be very into drawing and art, so that made it even more exciting for her. It was always a chore getting her to wear her old black helmet but now she'd never forget it, because she loves it when people ask her about the artwork. Heck that means that the DIY artwork feature could actually end up saving her from injury someday! Also, this helmet fits my daughter even with her braids, and is very cofortable and adjustable. The price is definitly right, too. I recommend it highly!

My daughter who recently been loving to draw and color went bananas when I got her helmet.In terms of protection, the quality is slightly below on what you can purchase on the market but it still is good. The strap adjustment fits well and adjusts great.The customization is amazing. She has a blank helmet slate to decorate as her own. Her only 1 of 1 custom helmet she specifically designed for herself. She has been bragging to folks about her helmet and how she designed it herself.This would be a great gift for any kids out there.

My grandson loved the idea of being able to design his own helmet. It was fun to do, but the paint does get dinged up, and I don't think it will last for too long. The helmet itself functions well though, and that's the most important thing!
