Kinetik Wellbeing Non Contact Baby Thermometer

I wanted a non contact thermometer for hygiene reasons, as there has been MRSA in the family, (an unwanted souvenir from a hospital stay), and I am now always aware of cross infection.I am very happy with this thermometer. Simply turn it on, point it at the forehead, press the scan button and you have an accurate temperature measurement a second later. It even beeps an alarm if it detects a fever. No need for disposable covers or sterilization after use.I am unlikely to use the other functions, such as detecting baby's bath or milk temperature and room temperature and cannot comment of their effectiveness.

This is a good little non contact thermometer. At an ok price. It a very diddy so can be taken with you easily on travels. Helpful when the little one is poorly and doesn't want to be touched. I am not sure how accurate it is but it seems to do the job. And testing my normal temp against an actual fever it gets it right. If the child has a sniffly nose though it may be inaccurate and we are better of using an ear or under arm thermometer test. I feel this is a good buy and more reliable than under tongue cheaper options I have had in the past.

Ok, gives off different readings - not sure it's that accurate. Eventually I will replace with an ear thermometer as these are said to be more accurate!

Worked so much better than the Brother max one we had. Kids love it too. Very easy to use and nice and small so easy to take away on trips if necessary. No back light and does make a little beep so might not be so great for checking the temp if your child is sleeping. I don't think the beep would wake my children though. You can always take it into another room to read the display.

Not an accurate reading, will constantly change temperature result each time you do it even if its straight after and in the exact same place. Would not recommend

After using different types of thermometers over the years I think this is the best of all of them.I went on a first aid course where this was recommended and decided to give it a go and am very happy with it.Although it's not the cheapest type of thermometer it is by no means the most expensive.As it's a non contact thermometer you can check on your child without disturbing them when they are sleeping and it records the previous temperature taken. As an added benefit my children think it's abit magic that it can tell how hot you are without touching their foreheads.

Thought it was amazing at first as you do not have to disturb baby at all ie whilst they're sleeping. Also it has room temp on it. However the more I use it I find it gives different readings each time it's pressed. Think I'll go and get an ear thermometer like they use in the hospitals...
