Light, comfortable and grabs anything!
I was skeptical but after using it a few times in tough conditions, this thing rocks!!I can pick up the smallest pieces or paper, crushed cigarette butts, even out of tall and dense grasses etc.I can say enough about this! It's odd looking, could pass as a gimmick but honestly, it's very comfortable and overall just great! The storage bag is nice also as I keep it in my truck.Conditions I use it in is waist tall + and thick grasses and other plants along a busy curbed road where flattened cigarette buts get buried. If I can see it, this let's me pick it! Also run in large and heavy items of all kinds and so far, it gets everything.

Your back will thank you for this
The media could not be loaded. After some trial and error going through some cheap “grabber” tools, I did some research and found that this is the most effective (and simple) design, essentially a big pair of tongs. It’s able to grab a lot or a little and has great reach and durability. I noticed that the tines of the tool might not perfect line up, but it doesn’t seem to affect its performance. It’s made my job of cleaning up the perimeter of my property much more pleasant and, dare I say, enjoyable.

Bad back saver - alternate grabber and it's not just for garbage!
I saw this product being used on the highway as I was driving to work as workers were picking up trash on the side of the road. I thought that it would be a perfect item for people who use grabbers for their bad backs. I was RIGHT!I use this alternate grabber all around the house and outside too. While I wouldn't pick up very heavy items off of a shelf- it is perfect for small items that you just hate to bend for. I use this to even play catch with my dog--because I had to constantly bend for that ball to throw it! Outside I pick up a ton of branches and debris in the garden--again a back saver alternative. The aluminum is lightweight and very cleanable. The handle padded and easy on your hands. I first grabber for a few years and recently bought three more! One for me and two others for a gift to other bad back sufferers.I love this item and was so glad I found it. I highly recommend it. It even has a nice carry case.

Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made - a real back saver!
I absolutely love these tongs! They have saved my back! I jokingly call them "My old lady picker-uppers" ...and then anyone that is around me, knows exactly what it is I am looking for! I am ocd about trash of any kind blowing around in my yard, - and the road that I live on, I swear, people must drive by and think, "ohh, this looks like the perfect spot to litter the trash I've been hauling around in my cars floorboard all week!" Because I constantly find soda bottles, straw paper wrappers, entire empty beer boxs, you name it, I've probably broke my back bending over to pick it up! I live in the country, so I am bewildered how so much of it ends up here. These tongs are probably the smartest purchase I've ever made. I kept spending $10-$12 on the cheapy ones found at walmart, and even walgreens I had found them. The kind that bend in the middle, and have little suction cups on the ends, to help grip, whatever it is you are trying to grab. Those are okay, and they serve their purpose, but I was spending a ton of money on buying them over and over, because I would try to pick of something that was just a tad too heavy for it, or even too awkward, and snap! There would be the end of those, and me back to buy another! So it was adding up over time. I was a little apprehensive to purchase this one at first. When I read aluminum, the first thought that I had, was they were going to be made so thin and probably cheaply, that they would bend and almost melt over in my hands when trying to pick up anything with any kind of weight to it. I was so wrong, and happy to be it for once! These are made so well, and are not heavy or awkward in your hands. No joke, I have used these to pick up large chunks of wood in our yard that had worms and ants crawling all over the bottom that I didn't want to touch! (We bought a new place, and there were lots of little hidden gems (trash/clutter) for me to find in all of the waist high grass of the over grown fields - once I discovered it was like this, is when I was immediately prompted to search Amazon for a good sturdy pair of picker uppers!) The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars, is because even though these are simple, and great, it could have used a little rubber foot (cap?) of some kind on the end of both sides. For two reasons. One, because when picking small items up, since it is hollow on the inside, you are constantly needing to smack it in order to shake out rocks and or dirt that gets lodged into the ends. Secondly, the reason for needing some kind of rubber cap, is so you can grip various items easier. The little suction cups on the cheap ones I talked about earlier, where the only good thing about those. So this one needs it, and it would then be PERFECT. Even without the rubber peice it could use, I can live with it. I am searching my brain of what I can pick up from Lowes to stick on there though. For anyone else, it may not be that big of a deal. Even for me it isnt. It is just that as often as I use them outdoors, well, why not? I can not say enough good things about this tongs though. I plan to pick up another one this spring to give to my husband. He used mine once, and then I couldn't get it back from him, he liked it so much as well! You won't be disappointed!

Saves your back.
Nice tool to pickup trash along my property that has road frontage which needs cleanup semi annually. It works well when the prongs are properly lined up. I would have given it 5 stars if I wouldn’t have had to bend the prongs somewhat to line up with each other. Other then that they work.

Great Grabber
This is by far the easiest grabber I've tried. It's more expensive but worth the extra money. With my back surgery, I can't bend over, so I need a good one. The previous two I tried had trouble grabbing the TV remote, it would take numerous tries. It's very lightweight and picks up everything I've tried the first time. It even pulled up some young weeds! I deducted one star because there is no way to close it for storage. A velcro strip has solved that problem but it seems it would be an easy thing to include.Highly recommend it, just get something to hold it closed.

Great picker
Fantastic litter picker, I thought it was a tad expensive as I litter pick around my village as a volunteer, but it's the best picker I've had great at picking small to large items with ease.

Excellent litter picker
Excellent litter picker manages to grasp small items - sweet wrappers, ring pulls etc - up to cans and bottles. Lightweight and robust. Took a while to adjust from my previous picker as this is a little long but only a case if where to hold it.I would recommend this type of picker over the grabber type which are cheaper but seem to break quickly from my experience.
