This self mixing gel coat repair kit serves its purpose as long as it stays above the waterline, and you don’t expect it to match any colors perfectly. Honestly, you’re better off just leaving it white.On the positive side, it’s easy to apply thanks to the self-mixing applicator. However, the applicator only functions properly for a short time, and with just three included, it’s best suited for fixing a few small, shallow chips. The epoxy itself is on the thinner, almost runny side, which makes it fine for smaller patches. That said, it can be a bit tricky to work with on sloped, vertical, or upside-down surfaces, especially for anything larger than half the size of a dime.As for durability, I can’t say much yet. I made the repairs at the end of the season, so I’ll need to update my review after taking the boat out to see how it holds up against sun and water exposure.It does dry fairly quickly—sometimes almost too quickly—but as long as you’re prepared, it’s manageable. My only real complaint is that I wish it came with more self-mixing applicators.In terms of value for money, as long as you’re not overly concerned about color matching, it’s definitely worth the price. If i remember correctly this was the cheapest of this type of kit I could find, and the shipping turnaround was impressively fast. As long as youre lot looking for a good color match overall this is a pretty decent kit and well worth the money.

This is one of the easiest products I have used. I hit my boat on a dock and left a 2 inch chunk out of the swim platform. I should have not been that close but it happens.I bought this and in one day repaired the hole. It worked great. Paint over it and clear coat is a must. Ran to Walmart for this because the kit had hardly any paint. Worth the money and easy fix.

Very small container and not work well

I patched some small gouges in my bilge area from me sanding with this stuff. Just remove the cap, install one of the fittings for slow/precise accuracy and discharge. Install the rear double plunger tool. Squeeze the plunger slowly and fill the small damaged area. It’s a slow process. It mixes itself on the discharge. Dries to the touch in about an hour. Sets up permanent in about 24 hours if you want to sand it. I just painted over it with 2 coats of bilge paint and a paint brush. The bilge paint levels it all out where you can’t even see the repair. Quick and easy fix.

Good stuff

Not a lot of product but enough to fill holes and scratches on my 17’ key west. Comes out hard. Best to cut with razor blade/sand before it gets too hard

I sent it back, It cures more clear than white. This does not come in a bottle, it is two part epoxy in two separate tubes that mix together when you use the plunger. If looking for solid white, just use Gelcoat.
