The media could not be loaded.  This magnetic stirring hot plate is an excellent value and has high performance.I tested the plate to heat up a mason jar of water and make hot chocolate. I dropped a stirring bar in first for my experiment, mixing the chocolate while heating. The resulting liquid I spot-checked with a laser thermal thermometer gun, and it matched the output of the hot plate temperature very closely.The hot plate has a nice base, an easy-to-read LED display, and good buttons. The unit is well-built and made to last.The hot plate comes with several different-sized magnetic stirring rods. The machine can be used for many different purposes, including industrial and scientific.

Temp gauge and sensor no longer work in conjunction so we're not able to heat to stable temp.

The hot plate went over the set temperature by 3 times the set amount. The set temperature was 45C. The temperature probe was attached. The temperature reached 140C and was still climbing. This occurred twice. The enamel became scorched after the second use. I checked the set temperature 2x before continuing. I had to turn the unit off to keep it the temp from climbing. The unit needs to be monitored. It makes it hard to perform other tasks at the same time.I really like the size of the hot plate. The magnetic stirrer works ok.

This magnetic stirrer is easy to use. It works fine with a great and accurate performance. The build quality is great. We found it easy to control everything including the temperature, speed, and time. Having a temperature prob makes it more trustful to use for scientific purposes. Overall, it a nice product. Highly recommended!

This Magnetic Stirrer Hot Plate is exactly what I needed for my home lab where I work on plant tissue culture. I need to create a lot of Agar and MS media and this hot plate is how I do that. It comes with a variety of stirrers to fit up to 6L containers and, using the probe, it can maintain a perfect temperature of that what you are mixing. It has a timer also, so it literally covers all the bases that I need for my culture lab. I have used it for several batches now and it's worked flawlessly. It has a memory function so I can literally now just use that and for the amount of media I need to create and don't even need to reprogram it for each batch. It comes packaged very well with a booklet, cords, and the temperature probe. You can be up and running quickly with this device. I highly recommend this stirrer. I wouldn't be able to do what I am now doing in my little lab without this.

Well made and good quality this stirrer works very well and what's also very nice about it are the features like the timer, the containers that come with it, the memory function and the tempreture probe etc. Very cool. Great for small labs or home lab work.A good deal. :)
