The lights go on the water tube attached to the pump. Make sure the lights are pointed upward, slide the ring up as far as it will go, and softly push the ring into the fountain body.

how do I register the fountain for warranty purposes?

I didn't I sent this back after two weeks. the motor died. Once with the first delivery and then with the replacement.
