Great little product. Bright light! Sticky back for easy fixing.Personally would have preferred a white cable, but i guess it depends where you put it!Not a bad buy!

COB LEDs are quite different from the more traditional LED light strips and if you have never tried one this bargain priced sub £10 2mtr length would be an ideal place to start. COB LEDs tend to carry a bit of a premium price tag but this one is very competitively priced indeed. It's not the very best COB light strip I have used if I am completely honest... but it has the essential properties of COB LED, namely the very even continuous even lighting along the length, where you are not aware of LEDs at regular intervals like with the traditional LED strips.This product arrives in the simplest of cardboard packaging, with no instructions to speak of but basically all you need to do is plug in the standard USB plug to a standard USB 5V power supply and the strip lights up! Simple as that.Now with simplicity there can be an impact on functionality and as I said, this is a fairly basic COB LED strip. There is no wireless remote control and also no ability to adjust the brightness of the output. It's basically 'full on' when power is supplied.I do like the warm white temperature they have used for this COB LED, it's warm but not too 'yellow'.The strip has a very compact form factor and so should be easy to 'tuck' behind a recess, around a picture, TV or under a cabinet etc, and being very lightweight it's self-adhesive backing should be more than sufficient to hold it in place.For a COB LED this is great value and the quality of lighting is what you'd expect from a COB device.

I have to say i'm quite a fan of the USB COB LED Strip lights. The lights provide a continuous (not dotted) warm white glow over a bright LED which i much prefer. The strip of light adheres well to the surface. They are USB powered so can be used with a USB all over the house or plugged into a PC.The power lead was shorted than expected, which is a bit of a downside as this limits where i could put it using my USB plug. Another downside is that its not remote controlled like others that I have e.g coloured dot style ones, so i needed to physically unplug to switch the lights off.

Narrower than the usual LED strips on offer with smaller, more dense LED's.This makes for a neat strip that is more toward the neon type of strip due to the density of the LED's on the strip.Illuminated, they give a bright warm light, so great as an ambiance light for example.Unlike other LED strips which are either 12 or 24 volts, these use a USB 'A' connection, so are a low 5volts, however this has no detriment effect to their operation.These strips could be used for a multitude of uses, under a computer desk perhaps, to illuminate a wardrobe, TV backlight, mirror backlight etc. etcThe downside is that the power lead is VERY short, around 10cm, so discrete installation is hampered by the bulky USB A plug, necessitating a USB A extension lead, adding to the cost and installation flexibility, so sadly loses a star for this reasondecent value at £9.99 at the time of this review.

These COB light strips are an easy way to add a surprising amount of illumination, whether for ambient lighting or actual visibility, and at £9.99 for 2m, this is a good budget option. COB lights provide uniform light and this fairly basic one is an easy way to test whether you like the effect. The lights are housed in a flexible rubber strip which can be bent to any angle and secured in place with the strong adhesive backing. These lights are powered by USB and there are no controls, just plug into a hub to turn on and unplug when you want them off. It is 8mm wide and there are marks every 50mm where it can be cut to size. I’ve used this to line the wainscotting along the bed in the guest room as it can be a bit dark in that corner. This strip doesn’t have fancier options like different light or brightness settings, a timer or remote, but it’s a great budget-friendly way to test out COB lighting and find out if it’s worth investing in a more elaborate setup.

💡 These COB LED strips have one major advantage over traditional LED strips with discrete SMD chips: they provide continuous light over the whole of the strip length. I have never found the separate pools of light to be a problem where an SMD strip is mounted under a counter or in a diffuser, but these COB strips come into their own when the light strip is visible, and the even illumination is a lot more pleasing.💡 The colour temperature is warm white, so it's not really suitable for a kitchen or bathroom, but it should fit in well elsewhere where some ambient light is needed. This is a simple strip light with no multi-function capability that simply activates when powered by a USB charger. I have a lot of home automation running, and these will fit right in with no complicated controls to worry about.💡 The current draw was 2.33 amps at 5.08 volts, so well under the 20 W light that these are going to replace. The other neat thing about COB lights is that the silicone coating makes them easier to clean, and I might get away without needing a diffuser channel. There are cut marks every 50 mm, or about two inches, and if you are handy with a soldering iron, you could split the strip to make corners or use half in a different location by wiring an extension cable. For example, if you ran the strip under multiple stair treads. The lights are adhesive-backed with a peel-off strip, so installation is straight-forward. I think that the value is very good for what you get, and I cannot recommend them enough. ✔️

This light is quite narrow and gives off a warm white glow. It sticks well and gives a continuous light effect rather than the 'dots' of light you get on some strip lights. It's USB powered making it ideal to use in an area around a computer. I did feel that the lead was on the short side so this would limit where you could put it if using with a USB plug. This doesn't have a remote control like others that I have used, so you physically need to turn it off at the plug or unplug from the USB port to switch the lights off.
