It really works
It worked on my 2014 KIA Soul and my 2012 Chev ImpalaThe code was easy to find on both cars and easy to fix and clear, One was low on oil and the other an old battery code stored.

Easy to use obd scanner tool
I have a few different obd scanner tools and like the others this one works well. I like its large color screen and easy to use functions. It allows me to do basic scans and find fault codes if my check engine light comes on. Since I’m a big DIY guy when it comes to my car this helps me out a lot with checking and clearing codes for issues I have fixed.

Plug and Play
Easy to use, truly plug and play. Makes diagnosing and car CEL / issues easy. Really love the battery voltage test, which my older OBD2 reader doesn't have. It helped me identify a battery issue, allowing me to swap out a dieing battery for a new one. Much better than my older unit that only gave codes and was only a B&W LCD screen. Compared to my older OBD2 reader, this unit has a longer cord (so I no longer have to contort myself to plug it in and use), a color screen that's easy to read (great for my aging eyes) and provides the code and description.

Great for SMOG pre check
I got this because I have a wireless one the requires my phone and an app to get readings on my vehicles. I am familiar with OBD2 readers and this was easy to navigate through the menu. I used it to verify the drive cycle was ready to pass on my recent smog test for my truck since I replaced the battery. It did let me know that some monitors were not ready. So I went ahead and drove 100 miles. I then ran the test again and the OBD2 said the monitors were complete and ready. Took the truck to get smogged the following day and I passed. The backlight is ready and it gets the job done. I'm sure it will do we'll if I ever got a check engine light come up.

Works great
I have an older car and a check engine light that I have had checked and turned off many times. Same code is thrown on many more expensive devices. This gave same code and describes it correctly. It also allows me to clear the code. I am not a mechanic just wanted one to have on hand for self diagnose and validate issues and this has been working well. Intuitive interface easy to use and great to get some numbers on various markers this can read.

Compact unit
This DriveDoctor OBD2 scanner is more compact than most I have previously used and has the same functionality. These scanners are good for clearing some basic codes that may come up as well as letting you know the potential for passing a state inspection prior to heading into the shop. In states like New York where you need to pass emissions tests, you will know prior to going for an inspection if you will pass or fail. This saves you lots of time and possibly some money if you know what to expect before going for the test.
