I have previously been using a phone mount with a ball head style swivel which was always a pain when trying to adjust the tilt. Because it was ball mount, you have to loosen the ball head, then adjust the angle, then tighten again. To do that, you need two hands. This one is so much better. No need to loosen anything, just adjust the tilt with one hand and it stays in place. Just enough torque to hold in place too. You can adjust the torque it you want too. Being solid alloy metal, it's built touch. The cold shoe mount is also metal, so no chance of stripping to thread when tightening (an issue with plastic ones). This is a great phone mount. Highly recommended.
