It's a good idea, but doesn't quite work as intended. It comes in the collapsed state and it's very difficult to get the sides to stand up properly so it can be used for a microwave cover. I've had it now for several weeks, I have used it as a cover, It is lopsided, and sometimes because the sides can't be straightened out, the top will touch the food.
