I've had these up all weekend, so this is based on a short-term experience. If it changes, I will ammend this review.These lights are wonderful. I've had them on for days steadily and they do not even get slightly warm to the touch.The USB/AC plug which comes with these lights is working perfectly.The wonderful and very unique thing about THESE lights is that you can choose from a wide variety of single colors. So if you want blue, you can have blue only. If you want red only, or green only, or orange only, you can. I have found no other AC powered light strings which will do this. (well, USB to AC) USUALLY AC light strings are only one color or all colors (like the traditional holiday lights with which we are all very familiar).But by having the option to choose single colors, you can leave these lights up and choose colors at your whim-- light green for springtime nights, for example, or maybe blue for Memorial Day, pink for your birthday if you want, and then orange for harvest time?The remote works pretty well. I have no complaints except my own intelligence, patience, and memory issues when I have to press each function button to remind myself what options I have, or have to press the "dim" switch to see if I've dimmed them already.... but the remote works fine from what I can tell. I do have to get within a few feet of the sensor to get the remote to work. I'm experimenting with angles now, which might help. Since I've placed mine high up it is possible the remote light is bouncing off a blocked angle.I'm delighted with these lights. I have them indoors because it is simpler than trying to find a way to thread the cord through a closed window. (The light string is waterproof but the AC/USB is not).Although I love holiday lights I hate putting them up and taking them down, and the white-only fairy lights are lovely but limited. NOW I have the option of having almost any color I am in the mood for at any time I want to have light string ambiance, AND I don't have to recharge my rechargable batteries every night because these are AC.

Bought these as a night light for my 2 daughters. They work great. Well worth it. Nice that it has a remote and multiple colors. We pick a new color ever night ad part of our bed time routine.I only have 2 complaints.1 is the remote. It's like an old TV. You have to have it literally pointed right at the receiver. Not a big draw back, but for a child trying to use it, gets frustrating.2 is the color scheme. Basically red green and blue. All the others are hues off of those. The "white" is basically teal. A few of them are so subtle of a difference my wife can't tell. I can see but they are very subtle. Was hoping for more of a variety of colors. Kinda sad the white isnt even white.

Using the remote control changing colors speeds brightness they were great over the holidays.

Great LED string light for a tiny Christmas tree (table top). Has color transition features such as smooth and flash. Better alternative to battery powered LED lights since you don't have to worry about changing power source (this one is USB powered).

It works great, till I somehow managed to lose the remote. Only used it for a week and poof the remote ran away. It still turns on, but now I can't change anything. Oh well not the products fault.

when these were lit they looked great,however after about 7 weeks the lights are 90% out .This is a very short life on the 16 ft. string of lights.I would like to return them.

Placed these on a mini desktop tree at work and they were a hit!

I like the different colors. The timer only works for one day so you have to reset it all the time. I would have liked the cord that the lights are on to have been thinner and a darker color.
