Reiki for Life (Updated Edition): The Complete Guide to Reiki Practice for Levels 1, 2 & 3

I have been seriously studying Reiki (Universal Healing Energy) the last few months having read numerous books on this topic and even taking an on line course on this subject. This is the third book I have read by this author (Reiki for Life: The complete guide to Reiki practice for levels 1, 2, &3) and most of the material in this book was covered in Quest’s other two (The Basics of Reiki and Self-Healing with Reiki) previous books.For me this book was a good review text to reinforce my study of Reiki. I have taken the examinations and achieved the Reiki Level 2 and 3 (Reiki Master level) at the present time as I continue to study Reiki more deeply. This 310 page soft cover book covers the following areas in five parts. Part one explains the Reiki healing energy. Part two focuses on activating your healing channel- Reiki first degree. Part three deals with developing your understanding- Reiki second degree. Part four is all about the Reiki Japanese tradition. The final part covers more steps along the Reiki path. This section deals with the many requirements of achieving the third level, which would be a Reiki master level. It also lists a number of other forms of Reiki.In conclusion, this is a good basic text for anyone interested in Reiki healing methods, but one must study the text and not just breeze over the material to benefit from the information.Rating: 4 Stars. Rented this book from our local library and loved it so much I had to purchase my own copy. I'm newly certified in Reiki Level 1 and have found energy work fascinating! This book was very informative and full of great explanations of what Reiki is all about, and the process it takes to become a Reiki practitioner right up through becoming a Master. Would use this book to go back & reference the different hand positions and other useful information. I will definitely pursue Reiki Level 2 and use this book as a guide to help learn the sequence of using the symbols & memorizing the mantras as well as the techniques based on the Usui teachings.

I am new to Reiki, having a million and one questions about the healing energy and how to use it. My main focus is helping animals with Reiki, but this book is a wonderful resource, filled with information that helps you understand Reiki, understand the attunements, and gives you lots of information about practicing Reiki. I enjoyed the additional uses information, such as giving Reiki to your plants, trees, appliances, and lots of other things. I plan on trying some of these additional uses along with practicing Reiki on myself and family and friends. If you are looking for a great resource, then get this book! You will not be disappointed.

I am currently a level 2 reiki healer and this book taught me a lot of new ways to use reiki. In fact I think this book is nearly an essential for all reiki students and teachers. This would be a great book to include with reiki classes. The book shows you how to construct a crystal grid for sending constant reiki for chronic illnesses or other issues you or someone else needs healing with. It also includes sections on useing reiki for psychic developement, spiritual growth and protection from negative energy and safe traveling. Its a great book for all levels of reiki healers.

In my personal opinion this is a great book to read for more inside depth of Reiki I, II and III. Especially if you want to learn more about Reiki. I am now a certified Holy Fire Usui Reiki Master/Teacher in Rhode Island at "Inner Love and Light" in Warwick, so I know a lot more than the book offers, but the book helped greatly in the beginning and I am glad for it.

Reiki For Life is just that; a book that helps practitioners as well as people using Reiki for their personal use, to incorporate the basics into their everyday lives. It is well organized and easy to find the particular topic you might want to zero in on. Very useful ideas to keep on track with the living and passing along the principles of Reiki. Also a good book for the "beginner" for building a better understanding and foundation for Reiki in their life.

This is a good resource for beginning Reiki Practitioners however there is so much more then what is in this book! But then Reiki is a personal experience and path for each individual that how can you write everything in one book? I'll be recommending students to read this book as a companion to attending Reiki Shares and continuing classwork.

I gave it as a present to my lovely mum who when she couldn't sleep in the middle of the night successfully browsed this book for help to relax rather than lie there awake worrying..

Very informative

Informative.However, I disagree with the part that all reiki masters are equal and good. Most of them are hoax and bogus money makers. I would recommend students to do tarot reading to check compatibility with the master. Most of the money minded spiritualists fiddle with your aura to make you believe that you need more of their courses. Please be very careful while choosing your master.The book doesn't have symbols drawn, but please be known that symbols have finite number of strokes which you will learn from this book. Ensure that you are being attuned with correct ones.

This book was easy to read and understand. The author uses her experiences of using Reiki on various helpers after the 9/11 disasters in New York To describe how healing Reiki can be. It was a Really interesting perspective of how powerful this energy healing type of treatment can be.

She didn't return it so it must have served her purpose.
