XL ball makes the small ball easier to hit
I recently installed a pitting green in the backyard and my wife wanted to take up golf so we can join our friends more often and not just drive the cart.I got this 2 XL ball set with half red/white coloring to assist us in learning how to putt.I wouldn’t say this is a miracle worker or anything but it is nice to have instant feedback on how squarely you are hitting the ball. Hit it correctly and the center line barely moves as the ball rolls. If you don’t hit it squarely, it wobbles. Simple.Bonus is that when hitting the regular sized golf ball the hole seems way easier to target. It’s like cheating with a larger hole.

Great training aid, check which size you're ordering first
This is a pretty solid training tool for practicing putting, though there are no training materials included with the ball itself.I was expecting this to be a normal size ball, however this is the XL version which is about double the size of a standard golf ball. Since this is only a training tool, it still works well as the larger version.Overall this is a good training tool for putting, though the negatives are that it does not contain any specific drills and there wasn't a lot of details on the size of the ball.

Interesting putting aid
Like most golfers, just about anything that will improve my game I will look into. I have a putting green in my backyard and ordered these as they intrigued me. I get the idea of rolling the ball properly without a glancing blow that produces sidespin and these balls do indicate that to a degree, but I think the physics are off. The ball is bigger with a different mass, and they roll differently. Alot differently. I weighed and measured each ball and compared them to a Titleist. The main difference is the enormous size of the large ball. In order to hit it properly you have to hit it in the right spot near the equator and the equator is higher off the ground, so you have to raise up the putter a little. Also, the ball has a lot more momentum than a normal ball. It is heavier and has a bigger diameter. I would think that the ball should be lighter in mass if you want it to roll similar. But the point is to see if you can get rid of the wobble and to some extent, I suppose it does that. Personally, I think you should use the normal size ball with the right size and weight. While it does give you visual feedback, I think it introduces other bad habits using the larger ball. That said I think it would be a hoot to tee it up with your next foursome and tell them you got an advanced sample of what the "new tournament golf ball" will look like.Positives:- Interesting putting aid- visually see if you make pure contact- reasonably pricedNegatives:- Not sure about the ball physics- might introduce other problemsOverall, it is an interesting idea, I have to use it more to see if it improves my putting contact. For now, I am leaning neutral to slightly negative on the idea, but I have not given up on it.3 stars

Neat set, which does seem to help train.
Overall, this is a quality set of 2 regular size and 2 larger size balls. The half red / half white coloring lets you put and watch the accuracy of your spin and all that. There were no directions included, but I hit YouTube and found quite a few educational videos that made it more clear.Worth it? Yeah, I think so. Practice, practice, practice.

Interesting concept
I'm always looking for something to help me out with my putting stroke.I've tried several different things and I'd never seen anything like this before so I thought I'd give it a try.The kit came with 2 normal sized golf balls and 2 large sized golf balls. They are all painted half red/half white. The idea is to be able to see if you get the ball rolling straight, as you line up the red/white dividing line on the ball to your intended putting line. It will give instant feedback as to whether you got the ball rolling properly. You will see a wobble in the line on the ball if the ball was struck poorly.I can't say that it has improved my putting much but then again, I haven't been playing as much golf recently. Time will tell.Overall, interesting product.

Simple but it seems to help
I thought the idea seemed too simple to be helpful, but it actually does seem to help. The larger ball helps you SEE it rolling better, but just doesn’t FEEL right. However, once you see it rolling straighter, then the smaller ball that feels right SEEMS to go in the hole more often. Hocus pocus? Wishful thinking on my part? Maybe, but I’m becoming a believer every time the ball falls.

big balls
These oversized golf balls have some weight to them. the line on one of them doesn't seem to be perfect but you definitely get a feel for if you have struck it squarely or not because of the exaggerated size. Part of the idea is that you have to be more precise with it since a standard ball is a little more forgiving at the cup edge. An interesting idea for putt training, but I personally prefer to use a regular ball because the feel is going to be true when you're on the course. Get this product if you're really struggling with hitting the ball square.
