Rewarding workout if you understand key concepts of Callanetics workout
In terms of bringing the Callanetics brand up-to-date in look, style & presentation the producers of this DVD have largely succeeded, although it is apparent there is a Pilates & yoga influence creeping in.Callanetics is a great toning no-impact workout which, if done properly, can really make your body strong, healthy & wonderfully shaped. It may look easy but if you're doing it correctly, being mindful of all the key concepts (pelvic floor engaged for most exercises, with gentle, tiny slow motions & pulses to protect the back), then you will find this a rewarding workout.Unfortunately for those relatively new to Callanetics there is no satisfactory explanation or emphasis on these key concepts. Another concern, was watching Lacey (the presenter) 'rocking' in the abs exercises - a common rookie error. Instead watch the trainer to the left for an excellent example of how to approach abs exercises. The planks & side planks are new (obviously borrowed from Pilates), and, if not approached gently, could pose a risk to the back.If you can deal with the 80s hair, makeup & leotards then Callan's original 10 years younger workout is still the best.

Great workout
I have done Callanetics for years on and off. This dvd just takes it a bit further and it hurts,! Great results in just a month after doing 4 times a week. Great instruction all the way through as well.

Brilliant DVD!
Excellent DVD. Anyone who thinks Callanetics is easy should try this! I was shaking afterwards. This is a great workout. Different to the original and definitely more challenging. The instructor is great. She gives detailed instructions and encourages you throughout. The time flew by as you keep moving and there's virtually no pauses. I would recommend doing one of the easier videos first if you've never done Callanetics before. But if you want result fast you need this!

Great DVD really excellent instructor
Fab DVD, Lacey Kondi really puts you through a great hour, explaining positioning yourself if your not quite at that level, which I found really helpful. Each time feels life a fresh class she just has a great way of making you feel like you are there with her.

Excellent. A bit harder than the original and i'm sure she doesn't count properly but I'm too busy trying to remember to breath and letting my "legs float like feathers" yeah right to actually care. Recommend it.

Great DVD!
LOVE this DVD!!! Fantastic workout. It's super challenging and you really feel it working after the first session. Very impressed. I've always loved Callanetics and this is a great new twist on the classic programme.
