I will say that this is a nice model compared to others that I've seen and work with before. The value in money is fair. In general, yes, this is easy to work with, but what's a struggle for anyone can be how to interpret or understand what all the 'readings' / 'indicators' are trying to tell you. Accuracy is a little hazy, and a little hard to describe the issue. Hard to actually pin-point where the edge of the studs are. I would prefer to give this a "3.5" out 5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone?...Mmmm?...I would suggest it as an option, a tool worth looking at, to see if it might fit their needs. Will I keep this & keep using it?...Yes.

I needed a stud finder for a project in my garage. It found an electrical cable. It found the studs, but a few times didn't find them. Letting it turn off and the re-calibrating seemed to do the trick. The display is bright, the instructions clear, and is sturdy and hefty for its size. Maybe not the choice for a contractor, but for a DYI guy at home, it works great.

Works ok for interior hollow walls but useless on exterior insulated walls. No better than strong and tapping in that case.Tested it in basement where I got some plastered wall that I can look behind to see the studs, read instructions, and watched YouTube videos so I feel like I am using this properly. Just completely no use on my exterior walls which I am trying to put up some window curtain rods...

Was very happy with this, it really does find studs and prior stud finders I have used just never seemed to work. You do have to make sure you do everything in the proper order to set it correctly. It also offers several wall thicknesses you can choose from and you might have to experiment with that a bit to figure out what setting to use.

I had high hope with this given reviews here, however I just found out that this is not reliable at all. Followed all instruction regd. calibration etc, this ended up suggesting stud where it was not, which I unfortunately discovered only after drilling holes. On other occasions, it missed stud in all depth modes. In fact deep depth mode, generates more false positives. Sad to write this but wanted to let others know.Looks like need to get expensive one.

My house was built in 1914. So it has plaster and laddice walls. That also means the studs are not the same distance apart. I was able to find 4 studs out of 6 trys. The electrical wire sensor works great.

Okay, this will find stuff in the wall. Not super easy to use but you can do it. My friends laughed at it because they just knock on the wall to find the studs.
