I got this because of the reflective material on it. I plan to use it for a tent footprint with the reflective material facing up toward me to reflect the heat back to me on cool nights. It's stiff and well made material that should last.

I got these tarps to make an enclosure on my front porch for the outside cats to get out of the cold elements. It has been perfect to hold the heat in from heat lamps and blocks the wind and rain as well. They seem very sturdy and wind/rain resistant as well. I’ve had them up for over a month now. Def recommend.

I probably am using this for an unintended purpose compared to what most people will use it for.I have an astrophotography set up to shoot both the stars and the sun. This requires hooking up my computer to my telescope to help guide it and to take pictures. This poses no real problem at night, but when trying to take sun photos during the day, I can't easily see my screen. The solution is to put the computer in a black storage bin on its side, but to get the best experience, I need to cut out all light, hence this blanket.I specifically wanted one that was black and silver to cover the variety of situations I'll be in to shoot the sun. If it's warm out, I can put the silver side out to reflect the heat a bit so that I do not cook. If I shoot in the winter, I can have the silver side in in order to absorb radiant heat and keep it in, thus helping keep me warm during the session.So, for these purposes, this works great. And if I really get in trouble while shooting the sun, I can use this as an survival blanket!

We have been taking care of a beautiful stray cat since summer but with 5 dogs can't bring her inside. So her cat house is in our covered front porch with plenty of inside insulation and a heat pad for out door animals and for extra protection I wrapped the house with this. Very happy with it and it of course can be reused.
