Zojirushi SM-VA60WA Vacuum Bottle 20 Ounce White

Thing does what I need it to do. Reasonably sized 20oz thermos. The best pound for pound one was my previous, which was the shorty 16oz. I wanted the 20. That's how much I make in my pourover at home, and the hario #1 cone fits nicely over the top of this for the morning commute days. Navy isn't a color of preference but this one's nice. Real dark and matte, looks real nice under light. I'm finished with the coffee iniside within two hours, and it keeps temp very nicely. Fits nice in my 12L backpack. Haven't had any leaking problems. Again, you're never going to regret getting one of these. Capacity is at your discretion. But do wait for these to come on sale.

I purchased these for my wife and I for Christmas (I got the Navy one), seeing as our old tumblers were about 8 years old. We both are impressed with the thoughtful design & build quality. Cold water stays cold all day in these. The drinking stopper is brilliantly designed so as to not spill when you're drinking from it, unlike other brands. Impressive. For motoring, they Fit consoles in a 1994 S10 and 2006 Altima perfectly and stay put. I'm glad I did some serious shopping before purchasing instead of getting sucked-in to other overpriced options whose name I will not mention. It stays cold! But that stopper has one negative issue that I'm NOT happy with. One day I poured hot coffee in the bottle, took a drink or two, and then headed to town on some errands....forgetting the bottle. I only filled it to the level directed by the company, took a few drinks, put it down, and then later than day returned home (to still hot coffee).... and washed the unit, but sadly the rubber stopper absorbed the coffee flavor. Nothing like drinking ice cold water that's overshadowed with a coffee essence. Not my bag, YUCK. I know the company has some cleaner for these things....but seems to be unobtainable on Amazon. What I did was wash out the mug and stopped with some warm water and 7th gen dish detergent; but the stopper still smelled and tainted the fresh water. Next step was to rub the stopper with some white vinegar and, while not completely eradicated, the coffee essence is much subdued. maybe I'll try soaking the stopper in white vinegar overnight. If the company is reading this I'd be happy for some assistance. The tumbler itself cleaned beautifully and does not whatsoever retain a coffee flavor & odor. Only the rubber(?) stopper mouth that's removable for cleaning. If we can conquer this issue, I'd give it 5 solid stars. So far no leaks whatsoever. Zojirushi makes a fantastic product that only needs one adjustment as I've already outlined.

I was a fan of Contigo, and I still think that for the price, their Byron mugs are a solid choice, especially in the 750 ml category. Zojirushi is more expensive. At first, I thought their claims about advanced insulation were bs - everyone uses a double-wall design with the air pumped out from between the walls. Then I learned Zojirushi actually uses not just that, but also an aluminum foil layer between the walls. And to be frank, I don’t care how long it keeps a beverage cold or hot. What I care about is that the bottle is literally never hot or cold itself. Like, never. It’s always room temperature when you hold it. The stainless steel design is super practical - no paint can survive my, well, abusive usage. The lid is a marvel for germ paranoids - it encloses the drinking part, so I can just throw this bottle anywhere without worrying about dirt. And I like the locking mechanism - with my usage, lids tend to open from time to time right in my bag, which has never happened with Zojirushi. Oh, and the volume. I drink as little as three liters of water per day - all those 500 ml and even 750 ml mugs are never enough - I just need that one more glass of water with me. The drinking part is glossy, smooth, and pleasant to touch with your lips. The bottom is flat, so it stays firmly on the table even when you graze it by accident. The lid has a spring, so when you press the opening button, it fully opens and then holds in place so it doesn’t fall onto your nose. And the clicks - I like how confidently it clicks when I close it with my palm. Overall - hey, it’s a thermo mug, but the level of attention to detail in the design here is truly incredible. It’s like they really thought a lot about how people would use this.

I can leave it in the car on a hot day, and the ice cubes don't even look stressed. It’s absolutely unmatched; I’ve never used anything better. A huge win for lazy people (like me) is that there are no crevices or weird parts to scrub, it’s super easy to pop out the drinking spout to wash and keep clean. The lid is super secure and has never spilt once. You can flick it open and drink with one hand, and it locks securely when closed. It never leaks, period. For how much insulating power this thing has, it’s surprisingly light and slim in my bag. La uso principalmente para beber agua fresca y ha cambiado por completo mis hábitos de hidratación: gracias a su capacidad de mantener la temperatura, me resulta mucho más fácil beber agua a lo largo del día. Retención térmica excepcional. Nunca había probado una botella que mantuviera el agua fresca durante tantas horas, incluso en un clima cálido como el de España. Literalmente, relleno la botella por la mañana y sigue fresca por la tarde. En este aspecto no tiene comparación con otras marcas que he usado antes (Contigo, Aladdin, etc.). Diseño funcional y cómodo. El acabado en acero es suave al tacto y transmite calidad desde el primer momento. A pesar de tener una capacidad generosa de 828 ml (lo cual se nota al cargarla en la mochila), su forma sigue siendo ergonómica. Puede que resulte algo ancha para manos pequeñas, pero en mi caso (con manos grandes) no supone un inconveniente. El sistema de bloqueo en la tapa evita aperturas accidentales, lo cual es un detalle muy bien pensado. Materiales de alta calidad. El cuerpo de acero inoxidable se siente robusto y duradero, mientras que la tapa de plástico está muy bien construida: sin rebordes molestos, ni piezas que parezcan frágiles. Todo encaja con precisión y se nota que es un producto diseñado para durar. Fácil mantenimiento. La boquilla y tapa se desmontan en tres partes, lo que facilita mucho la limpieza. Aunque yo prefiero lavarla a mano por precaución, el acceso al interior es amplio y cómodo tanto para limpiar como para rellenar. ¿Aspectos a considerar?
