The Cobweb Receipt - This Ain't Your Granddad's Dorm Fridge My 2-Year Update Experience
The Cobweb Receipt - This Ain't Your Granddad's Dorm Fridge My 2-Year Update Experience Ok, so I’m pulling the "cobweb receipt" on this one—we’ve had this Igloo 3.2 Cu. Ft. Single-Door Compact Fridge since March 2024. While it looks like a typical dorm fridge, it has been holding up in a much tougher environment than usual in our covered, walled-in back patio. Even being subjected to extreme heat and cold, the black finish still looks brand new with no scratches. Special note: I’m not sure if it is intended for this environment, but that’s where we have it and it’s running well. The Performance (The "Thump" and the "Hum"): • The Seal: When you close it, you get that satisfying "new car thump" sound. It requires a little tug to get open, which I love because you know for sure it’s actually sealed when you walk away. • Noise Level: It stays silent in the background doing its duty. You really have to stop and listen to hear the mechanical hum; it doesn't dominate the space like some small fridges that "squeal" or "squish.", like it’s gargling. • Durability: I have a busy family constantly going in and out of this thing, and it has handled that high-traffic use which it should. Internal Observations & Maintenance Note: The inside is solid and the shelves are sturdy. So, I did notice about an inch of ice in the corner recently, but I have the temperature dial set all the way to "7." I suspect the ice is simply because I have it on the coldest setting combined with the freezer door maybe being left open. It’s a good reminder that if you see frost, you might just need to dial it back a bit rather than assuming the fridge is failing. Our Uses: Beyond your typical use, this is our go-to secondary storage for cold packs. If you use ice packs for a sore knee or a workout, you know they can dominate your main freezer space—this is the perfect dedicated spot for them. The Cobweb Receipt Verdict: Overall, I'm very happy with it. It’s reliable, robust, and definitely outperforming expectations. Two years in, it’s still running really well.

Great practical and quiet!
Great little fridge - perfect for a dorm or studio. My mom moved into an assisted living facility in December and we bought her a microwave and fridge and put it on a stand we bought on Amazon. It fit perfectly and works well. Not noisy and has a small freezer. It's a great fridge for water, snacks and odds and ends - but no drawers so not very useful for fruit or veggies.

great addition to my office
I recently purchased the Igloo 3.2 Cu.Ft. Single Door Compact Refrigerator, and it’s been a great addition. The compact size makes it perfect for my office. Despite its size, it offers plenty of storage, with adjustable shelves that make organizing food and drinks easy. The temperature control works well, keeping everything cool without any issues, and it runs quietly, so it doesn't disturb my environment. The design is sleek and modern, and the black exterior adds a nice touch to my space. Overall, this fridge is efficient, well-priced, and the perfect size for smaller spaces. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, space-saving refrigerator!

Great mini fridge for the most part
Overall this mini fridge is exactly what I wanted. I mostly use it to store small refrigerated snacks and drinks. I really like how quiet this fridge is too. It has little bursts of rebooting kind of sounds but other than that I don't even notice any noise coming from it. Everything stays nice and cold and it helps that I can adjust the height of the glass shelf to make it easier to hold taller items. The only down side is the freezer section is very small and as far as I can tell doesn't work properly so I don't even bother to use it.

Awesome mini fridge
The product quality is amazing and worth the money. It's sleek, and roomy inside. I measured the inside of the fridge with a ruler and the glass shelves measure about 14 inches wide. The little freezer is pretty roomy as well. I was able to fit 4- 8oz cool whip containers inside the little freezer compartment. I got this to put my cakes and cold ingredients since I am trying to learn to bake and decorate cakes. The only issue was the delivery. The bottom was dented and caused the fridge to stand tilted. It also had a small dent in the top back corner. I reported the issue to Amazon right away and they offered an amount of compensation for the damages to avoid returning it. Which I agreed because the chance of getting a new one and it not being damaged in some way, is low. It's a risk taken in having an appliance shipped unfortunately 😔. But anyway, I'm glad that they were very helpful and I'll be fixing the tilting situation on my own. The fridge is worth it in my opinion! It doesn't take a lot of room and gets very cold.

Great dorm fridge.
Bought this for my son‘s dorm room in Washington state but we had no place to ship it to in Washington so we bought it in Florida and transported it in his Toyota 4runner on a three week long cross country trip. No, it does not fit standing up in the back, but we read all of the online instructions about how you should lay it on its side if you’re going to transport it and if you do Transport it on its side that you should wait 24 hours before plugging it in. So we followed all of those instructions and we took it out out of the box to transport it, but we left the shelves taped in, etc.. And he waited like 36 hours to plug it in because it wasn’t a priority And it worked like a champion And it’s been working great. It fits perfectly in his dorm room. He has a small dorm room. He put a Culligan water filtration system in there. He can refill his water bottles with and he has two ice trays up top that have lids on them. It looks great in his dorm room. It was a great price. We bought it during Amazon prime days. So this is a very durable very durable refrigerator. I hope he gets many years out of it. We are very happy with it. I’m attaching a very blurry photo of it but it’s worth it.
