Would totally Recommend for Cloth Furniture only.
I have used several methods of anti-scratching products on my couch and I think this one in combination to a corner scratchpad has worked the best for my little ball of energy. The plastic is durable, the stick is "okay" and by far is one of the clearer brands we have used. Even though it is clear it is not crazy shiny and doesn't give off grandma furniture vibes. I had to turn the light on to take the picture because it didn't show up the first time. Easy to cut and bend and doesn't give any weird creases. The only problem I have found is if you don't use the pins that come with it, the cat will chew the corners as they come up. The pins are very durable as well and DO NOT tear the cloth on the couch with removing them. I tested this in a few different places before putting it on my exposed corners. I totally WOULD NOT recommend this for faux/leather furniture.

Deters cats but doesn't stick very well.
I got these to deter my daughter's cats from destroying my couches. While the do deter the cats from scratching, they do not stick to the fabric of my couch very well. I did use the twist pins and that helps, but I cannot use the pins on certain areas of my couch.

Oversized plastic sheets.
I can't really leave a review as I definitely should of read the product information before ordering this. Our cat likes to pick at our recliners. The product definitely say NOT to use on leather. I am sure if we had fabric it would work great.

Pro: Covers a large area. Cons: Ugly
Our cat is terrible about scratching furniture. Just destroys it. We’ve tried things similar to this with moderate success. He doesn’t like touching them, but normally would just scratch right next to it. These sheets are larger so protect more, but he still finds away around it. And the large plastic film is pretty ugly. The sheets are adhesive but also come with pins which I’ve found you need to keep the sheets in place without peeling. They are just fine, in my experience. Better than nothing but our cat is resourceful and tenacious.

Love This Tape
I've used a lot of different scratch deterrent tapes, from the double stick kind to the single stick kind like this, in rolls, in sheets... With 5 cats (4 of them being a year old, and scratching at everything I've tried a lot). This is by far my favorite so far, the tape is a bit thicker than most I've used. I like the single-side stick and smooth outside the best so I can still sit on furniture. The cats like to scratch every surface they touch pretty much on some of the furniture so I end up having to cover almost the entire thing. The double-stick type can only be used on areas that aren't touched normally, and it collects dust and loses its sticky over time which also becomes less effective.I like this one so much because the sheets are large but not so large they are hard to place. The edges of the plastic are rounded with extra backing paper on the edges to grip so they're super easy to remove from the paper unlike other kinds that are flush to the edge and you have to fight with it to split the paper from the adhesive on a corner.I didn't have to use the extra adhesive dots or the upholstery pins. I had a new sofa delivered yesterday and put it on immediately along with a waterproof cover in case of accidents and I didn't want to have to use the pins on a brand new sofa I had to wait over 6 months to be custom made. I was thrilled the adhesive had enough tack that I didn't have to. This is the best tape I've used, and I can't wait until the cats to learn the sides of the furniture aren't for scratching so I can take it all off! I'm not a newb, we have scratchers all over the house too that they use most, but they have their moments still with the furniture so I still need to cover it tape.
