Had a little metal tooth pick from Walmart and it worked fine but dulled very quickly. Have not found this product to have the kind of metal like my old tooth pick. It is just a sturdier product and better quality. For me I primarily use this dental kit to get what daily flossing leaves behind such as popcorn kernels. They get stuck in my teeth and hurt badly so I want it out without damaging my gums by over flossing. I am definitely OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) so a popcorn kernel or a stuck piece of spinach will not be stuck for long as it drives me nuts. So with all of this being said the product does work and delivers great results.Now my dentist although he said it was fine to use a product like this one he reminded me to be careful. I am not trying to replace my dentist or dental assistant by getting in my mouth and scraping my teeth. Not a chance. Just trying to get the food that is lodged then enjoying the peace that comes with that. It is also just my dental kit and I do not share. Husband has his own and I just think that is more hygienic. Yes I know the dentist cleans theirs and reuses them but I prefer not to think about that right now or ever.Surgical grade? I would most definitely say yes this product is that quality. Looks exactly like my dentist uses when I go biyearly. Stainless steel and has a great grip as that would be quite painful if it slipped. The product is a fantastic one and on Amazon they have additional instructions for use which is very nice. A great way to remove some plaque at home between dental visits and keep our mouths healthy. Has a beautiful case with a zipper closure to insure the instruments do not fall out which they should not as they are tightly held in with a rubber or elastic piece as well. Was excited to try this product out at a slightly reduced price for an honest review. It really was a no brainer as this is a quality product and I am completely happy with it. I take my reviews very seriously and am always open to questions if anyone has any. Will give it a shot and hope you do as well with this dental kit. Thank you!!

I ordered this product mainly for the dental mirror, and when my order came there was not a mirror. Then I was told that I could not return the order. So I'm not happy.

So I bought it for plaque buildup and I got so much off with this. However I did jab my gums a few times and just barely bumping my gums cause it to bleed. But it does work. They are in fact very very sharp. And I couldn't be more happy. Of course I'm not a dentist so idk how to use them properly but hey got most the crap off my teeth without going to dentist so win win. I recommend this for sure. Just be careful.

I received this at half price and boy was it worth it! I used it to clean my teeth as I only see the dentist for annual cleanings and had some plaque on my lower teeth due to the way they are closing packed. Anyways, I have only used the two sharp tools to carefully Remove the yucky stuff and well, despite sounding like a dental commercial my dentist will be giving me a passing grade as this tool kit really does work. I recommend it to everybody to have in thief bathroom alongside their toothbrush!
