Good in all weathers
As an avid bike rider who often embarks on long journeys, I noticed that my bike brakes were becoming slow to respond, almost doubling my braking time. Despite the worn-down brake pads, my bike was still in relatively good condition, and I didn't want to replace it entirely. So, I purchased these brake pads. With some experience in bike repair, I was able to replace them with relative ease. The new brake pads fit well and provide quieter and smoother braking, significantly shortening my braking distance to barely a meter. They also perform excellently in rainy and icy weather, making them suitable for year-round use. Definitely worth the price!

Great value
These are a tiny bit smaller than the original pads, but it seems to have no effect on the efficiency of the brakes. They work well, are quiet, don't fade and are so far lasting well. Great value at £20 for two sets of pads. Fitting is easy and quick.

Will not fit M8000 calliper
I had these free from Amazon to do an evaluation.I've had these for a few weeks now, and went to change the brake pads earlier today, however. these pads are advertised as being suitable, amongst others, for Deore XT M8000 brakes. The M8000 pads are 31.8mm in diameter, whereas these are 39.5mm, so are way too big to fit.The 8000 series pads are held in the calliper with a screw rather than a split pin.The pads look reasonable enough, and are not expensive, just wish they fitted! I guess it's just a mix up with the description.

Good performance but had to be modified to fit my brakes.
The brake pads are really good for downhill riding. I ride an e-bike and when I’m off road I can reach speeds of 40mph pretty easily which makes having brakes that work well at those speeds really important. Now; I wasn’t sure whether these would fit my brakes or not but as mine are compatible with M820 pads, I assumed they would. Unfortunately the cooling fins had to be cut down slightly so they would fit inside the brake callipers. Not a big deal though as I have a tool that cut through them easily.Performance - pretty good when cold but once warmed up they do stop as good as performance resin pads.Noise - Again, when they are really cold or wet, they can be pretty squeaky. Pulling on the brakes until they heat up a bit stops the squeaking. As for later on the brakes; I just get upto a high speed and drag the brakes causing them to get hot enough to boil off the water.Metal, ceramic or resin pads? - I use metal as my bike has a lot of weight to it and resin pads really don’t last anywhere near as long as I would like them to. I’ve had a lot of them crumble under high speed braking when things have got really hot. Ceramic is kinda in the middle - they last a good amount of time, perform pretty quietly and don’t fade too much with heat. Overall, metal pads are my go-to as I do a lot of miles so I need the endurance. I’ve also noticed that they are less likely to be affected by contaminants.

No more squeak
No more squeak. The pads themselves are amazing value for money considering you get 4 pairs for the price, the quality is also excellent. the only negative is the pins that go through the pads could do with being a touch longer as they are hard to bend and longer pins would help.i just put my old pins back in

Lower cost finned pads
My husband rides mountain bikes so provided some thoughts...These pads are slightly smaller than other aftermarket options - the picture shows them next to some uberbike pads. They have a little less pad material too, as the finned backing plate is designed to dissipate heat. The fins are useful if you are riding long hot descents, but in my experience, technique goes a long way in stopping overheating brakes. The packaging looks like something from the 1970s. I'm not due to change pads for a bit but looking at the material, I've no doubt they will work fine.

Good alternative to the original pads
I got these as spares for the Zee brake on my jump bike and as you can see from the pictures they're not exactly the same but a close approximation. They're definitely a bit smaller than the originals but should do the same job.
