"I shot him 6 times! I shot him in the heart-but... HE'S NOT HUMAN!"
The original Halloween film is a classic in horror movie history and for me this film is right up there with it although in many respects it is just a continuation of the first film as it picks up right where it left off. Following the shooting of Michael Myers and his subsequent disappearance at the end of film 1, we see the ensuing police search of the neighbourhood whilst he prowls amongst the residences and the body count racks up!The ultimate 'Scream Queen' Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie winds up in the local hospital for treatment and it is this location where most of the action in the film takes place as Myers hunts her down and kills anyone who tries to get in his way. Meanwhile the excellent Donald Pleasence as Doctor Sam Loomis endeavours to track down his escaped patient. There are some very gruesome deaths in this film if you're a fan of gore and one of the things which stands out for me is the soundtrack! "Mr Sandman" by the Chordettes features at the beginning and end of the film alongside the Halloween theme tune which is a classic. This is a classic film which belongs in the collection of any horror fan.

Later that same evening
Whilst not the best nor worst of the series, Halloween II is a middling addition to the series but is far better than some of the later entries. The film follows directly on from the first, iconic John Carpenter movie - so much so that there are mere seconds between the end of the 1978 original and this sequel.Several concepts are introduced in this film that play out throughout the subsequent movies, and the central characters become the focus of a new plot strand that was still running in H20 in 1998.The disc. The print and transfer of this REGION FREE disc are the best I have ever seen the movie look. There is a pleasing amount of film grain - not excessive but present giving the overall presentation a filmic appearance. The soundtrack is suitably cleaned up to match the visuals. The extras. The main reason many people (myself included) are buying this disc is for the full 1080p transfer of Terror in the Aisles a late 80s documentary featuring many clips of horror movies. This feature was released alone in cinemas, and on VHS and Laser disc, but is a very welcome addition to the HII package.Overall the movie is the part of the disc that loses a point as its just not as good as the original (none of the sequels or re-imaginings have been, have they?)but I still heartily give it 4 out of 5.

He never died...
Following on directly from the first film as Dr Loomis discovers Michael's body has gone...Michael is now ramped up as he hacks and slashes his way to the hospital to track down Laurie once more.Still using creepy a atmosphere and hand held camera trickery the film loses its way a little bit leading up to the explosive climax...The director, to his credit, has taken a leaf out of the "horror movie sequal" handbook... Darker, bloodier, scarier... Bur not necessarily better.Still miles ahead of any of the recent Halloween films which, tbh, should never have been made. Just saying.

Finally found Halloween 2 region free blu ray! **Must buy for any Halloween fan**
So happy i finally found a blu ray version of Halloween two that works in the UK, no shops in England sell H2 on Blu-ray anymore this was a must have and has now completed my collection so 10/10 for that alone!I love this film, the best sequel IMO! I live in the UK and its soo hard to find the original two Halloween films on Blu ray! so if you're in the UK and are looking for a region free blu ray version of H2 this 100% work in UK Blu ray players, it works perfect on my UK Blu ray player! MUST have for any Halloween fan!The picture quality is slightly grainy (i wouldn't expect any less from a film made in 1981) but much much much better than the Dvd versions and the best transfer ive seen on the film!Delivery come quickly only took around a week to come from America so all in all a very good buy !What more could you want other than Loomis is blu ray quality :D!

Halloween 2 U.S region free
You cant pickup Halloween 2 in the U.K yet so decided to go for this U.S region free release, I personally think this is the best one to go for, Picture quality is great and it also comes with DTS 5.1, the best thing about this release is that it also has The Terror in the Aisles documentary in the extras, this is the only way you can get this documentary, well worth the money.
