Easy install. Works great. I've had it and used it for over a year. It hasn't lost any rigidity.

I was so excited for this cd player mount, which would put my phone in the best possible spot. When I went to install, my radio dial was in the way of the units twist lock knob which is under the unit and locks the unit into the cd player by expanding flaps. I was crying in my car when I had a brilliant idea. I turned the unit upside down which put the twist lock knob on top and I locked it in, then I spun the arm mount around back to the top (everything is adjustable) and this worked PERFECT!!! See photos.I dried my tears and couldn’t be happier with this thing. The magnet is strong and secure for my phone in a silicone case, it’s easy to reach, it doesn’t obstruct my view, or the heat vents, or the radio dial. I don’t notice much vibration at all, perhaps the design offers some shock absorption. The ball bearing in the arm provides unlimited adjustability on the fly. I have a MagSafe phone, but they include a magnet if you need one. It’s a solid unit and well thought out. I’d happily pay double. You’re welcome :)

I have found this product to be a great alternative to mounting your phone on the dash or windshield. If you have a CD player that you're not using, this is a fantastic way to repurpose it. I use it to hold my Carplay portable unit, which is slightly heavier than a phone, and it holds it up with no problem. The magnet used is really strong, perhaps a little too strong, as I sometimes have a hard time taking my iPhone off it. The unit does have a little wobble to it, but that's expected with the way it's mounted.

I like how the product functions and its versatile locations for holding a cell phone. The magnet is very strong when the metal ring is set directly against it, however putting the metal ring inside my phone case caused the magnetic attraction to almost disappear. The plastic case is less than 1/8 inch thick. I have used other magnetic holders and have never encountered this problem. This will be a great product for anyone who wants to attach the metal ring on the outside of the pone or phone case, but I would not recommend for anyone wanting to put it on the inside.

Was skeptical at first because of the CD slot design in the dash. But this works and works WELL! Super strong magnet, bounces a little at times but nothing terrible. Hasn't fallen out yet! (knock on wood!)

This works very well! I live in NY with bad roads and I would place my hand underneath the phone in case it fell off and it had yet to do so! Even with huge potholes and rough roads it had a strong phone hold. I’ve used this on multiple cars and the adjustable design makes it easy to move around in order to avoid the phone getting in the way.

First reactions to this unit has proven somewhat accurate after a solid week of Houston roads (a.k.a. Pothole Parkway). The magnet is super strong! I mean it latches and holds on to my phone. Slapped the metal oring to the back of the case and POP! It actually grabs the darn thing. I have found the cradle may get out of adjustment a bit when removing the phone from the cradle, but easily remedied, and so far it works really well. The connection to the CD opening appeared a little suspect at first - but it has stayed in place and seems secure enough. Time may tell a different story, but so far I am very please. My actual rating is 4.5 Stars. Oh, and the price was very nice too!
