These are a great alternative to more expensive name-brand lures, if you're looking to plop whoppers (if you know what I mean). They're not as durable as the premium ones, but at 1/3 the price, you can afford to snap a propeller bouncing one off a rock every now and again.They move on top of the water just like the brand name ones, too, and bass seem to like the action and appearance. I'm not sure what fish the colors are supposed to look like, but the bass and pickerel don't seem to care. The hooks are great, and they're a decent size. I've hooked up 3-4lb largemouths on these, with no damage.

these things actually work, and they can catch fish. well, bass, although i did catch one bluegill on it. the action is nice, it sputters just enough to notice and floats so you don't have to start your retrieve immediately and you can pause in the middle and twitch it if the fish has bad aim.that's the good, now the bad. i think the hooks it comes with are a bit on the small side, i think bigger hooks would increase the hook up rate and make it harder for them to throw. not sure what larger hooks would do the action though. don't throw it in any kind of leaves or surface grass or algae. if something like a stray strand of grass on the front hook or a glop of algae blocks the prop's ability to spin freely it will turn the lure into a very very efficient line twisting machine. you may as well cut twisted part off and and re-tie which sucks. and lastly, the blades of prop are separate and fold up when a fish hits (per description im not sure if that works or matters) but they are held on by screws. those screws seem quite prone to backing out during use. keep an eye on them.they make a larger size which may be better if you are fishing a bait caster, this size will work if you have a bait caster and rod you can cast light weights with but would probably work better on a spinning setup.bottom line, even with all those issues, if you like top water action, this bait has a nice one, its pretty cheap since you get three per pack, and I did put fish in the boat plus, lets face it, the blow up on the bait is the fun part of top water so even the ones I missed or that threw the hook (about half of them) were fun and exciting. when i loose or destroy these, I will probably be willing to purchase more if they are still around.

I was impressed my oldest was home visiting she said we getting on some water i 😊 so we decided to fish for bass and wow the action was great be careful the hooks are super sharp!!! The size was just right we need up catching around 20 nice fish good quality and floats just right and looks great let's just say she out fished the old man lol the best part for me i got fish with my baby.

Work flawlessly

So I definitely caught fish, a lot of fish, on these and they have fantastic action. The issue is I fish ALOT. I had one totally loose a propeller on a bite and another that has stress markings on the propellers. None of the bass that hit it were more than 4lbs. Honestly I returned them and already have more in my cart to replace them. They just aren't durable to the extent needed I guess but they catch enough fish that are worth letting amazon or truscend hold on to my $20 to rent them. I guess that is how I am going to look at it. At least until I find something as good and more durable. Wish i had taken photos for this first batch I sent back. I will definitely take them should the same happen on next batch. Maybe I just got a bad batch IDK.

I was skeptical of these lures, seemed cheap and the colors un natural. But boy was I wrong! Caught some nice bass and pickerel on these whopper plopper copy cats. The perch color one has worked the best.

A lille different than Whopper poppers but good design.Propeller opens when retrieved & only used a couple of times.No fish yet but will get back to using again when feasible.
