I just installed this filter on my 1000 gallon gasoline tank. The filter was provided to me by my gasoline supplier. Before installing it I went online and sent an email to the manufacturer of the filter and inquired if it is the proper filter to install on my tank. Shortly thereafter, I received a telephone call from a representative of the manufacture who told me that the filter provided to me was the one that I should have. I should note that the manufacturer has other types of filters to choose from but said that the one I have is what I need. I was told that if there is water in the gasoline (from the ethanol) that the filter will shut down the flow of gasoline to a trickle, in which event an additive need to be added to the gasoline, or if that doesn't fix the problem that the gasoline will have to be removed.
