Great buy and very handy with the SD & Micro SD readers. Have 4 now.
Best Powered USB3 hub I've used. I have 4 of these, 2 on one computer that I use for flight simulator.

BIG connectivity in a SMALL piece of hardware!
This is a lifesaver. Being able to have this sit discretely on my desk and plug things in as needed has been such a huge upgrade to my setup. The build quality is extremely sturdy and durable, it does not feel cheap at all. I love that it comes with an SD card reader - a feature I didn’t know I’d need but I’ve used it a bunch already! Wish I had bought this sooner!

Solved my problems, right out of the box.
Works great for me, this device solved a lot of the stability problems that I was having with my hard drives, as I have several, (About 4) plugged into my Mac Mini, and what no one was telling me is that they require a lot of external AC power to run them as they are thirsty, and I used to have all kinds of problems with my old 7-port USB hub, and this solved all of those, plus it was a nice upgrade to USB 3.0, my last one was USB 2.0, and it seems faster overall, but one of my drives still transfers a little slow, not sure why, probably not the fault of this device. I also like the ability to be able to turn on and off each individual port when they are not in use, and to have the small blue LED light to indicate which ones are on and which ones are off. At first I thought that the blue lights might be a small problem as I have this unit in my bedroom and some lights can be too bright when trying to sleep, (you would be surprised at what some manufacturers don't even consider being too bright) at any rate this could easily have been remedied with some black electrical tape to cover them, but alas, it is not a problem for me, as the lights are small enough in diameter that they don't shine too bright and are just right. I am very happy with this purchase.

Made for the left side of the desktop
I was excited to see this hub on the lightning deal at a significant savings, and 3.0 USB with a micro sd card reader included. The power cord is long enough to reach the surge strip on the right side of my desk, and the USB connection is also long enough for most applications except if you only have power on one side of your desk like I do. This makes set up a bit difficult in my case as if the HUB is placed on the right side with the buttons facing you as when you plug in anything it has to be turned around. I also found out that even though it says it is backwards compatible and works with Windows 7 and Linux, when I pulled out my old Compaq Presario that l dual boot Linux Lite 5.8 and Windows 7 to perform updates I was not able to use my external hdd plugged into it and this is because the USB connection on the Right side of my Compaq is most likely not compatible. Wenter needs to change the description of the HUB on the Amazon website page as I know for sure that there isn't a way this HUB will work on Windows XP or a laptop that is 10 years old or more. The HUB works great on my new laptop and have had no problems at all on Windows 11 system.

Unexpected Benefit
I've had the Wenter USB hub (10 slot version) for several days and am very pleased with it. Before, I was having intermittent issues with the wireless mouse and keyboard. With the old USB hub, the cursor would get stuck for a few seconds on the screen, and the keyboard would not type for short periods of time. After some experimenting, I determined that the old hub was the culprit, not the mouse nor the keyboard.Hooking up the new hub was not a problem. The off/on push buttons give excellent tactile feedback, and the lights are a distinct blue...not too dim nor too bright (see photo). With this new hub, the above problems have gone away, and another problem was unexpectedly solved. With the old hub, when the PC was in sleep mode, the mouse and/or the keyboard would not awaken the computer. I tried solving this issue with research online, but nothing worked. I had to depress the power button to wake it up. The additional benefit is that with the new hub, all is back to normal. I can now wake up the PC with either the mouse or keyboard.I highly recommend the Wenter USB hub. It's metal construction is superior to the plastic ones, and it works better than expected. I have no regrets with this product.

Unit becomes worthless after a while
It installed easily and worked immediately......for two months. Then suddenly my computer did not recognize any of the items plugged into the Wenter. I unplugged the hub, waited 30 seconds and plugged it back. It worked for about a week. Then I had to do it again. That lasted about 5 days, then 3 days, then every day. I have to unplug the Wenter at least once a day which makes tasks like backup or clone impossible. I'm going to purchase a different brand and throw this one away

If it works poorly, does it matter how little it cost?
I have 4 USB things plugged into this and my phone is one. It charged 1% in 20 minutes. Moved it to a regular charger, it did 30% in 20 minutes. Other things just don't seem to work, like my camera. Which works find if I plug it directly into my computer. Because the compute is a mini, there are not enough USB ports for all the things I need. Hoped this would be the solution. And while it was a good price and looked good, I wouldn't recommend you get one. I'm going to try to get in touch with the MFG for replacement but I don't hold out much hope. ADDENDUM: Turns out it wasn't this, it was the mini computer. ONce I got Geekom to replace, everything worked. And it works well. So, sorry. It's now okay to purchase!!
