We all have different taste buds, but this Steel-Cut beats the flakes by a country mile. Yes, it is time consuming and you must use milk (in my estimation) but what a treat! My dog appears every time it is ready, awaiting his share.

The steel cut oats are a favourite for my mornings. They are so easy to cook and I really like the packaging it comes in. They are convenient to take on a trip without carrying a large container of oats. Very good value!

Good quality, great price. Shipped quickly. Only concern what is the point of organic when it is in plastic bags that will never be recycled and pollute the soil we grow food in?

Wanted to try steel cuts in my overnight oats, so gave this a try. Key is to warm it up and then let it soak like your normal rolled oats. Had to get used to the texture, as it's not hard(12/hrs of soaking), still kind of a pop/crunch to it, but the right texture. I'll alternate between rolled and steel cut. I only opened one bag so far, and the zip lock to seal the packet is a little of a pain, have to get it just right or it will come apart, so just ended up putting it in a 'zip lock' bag. Will proably get a container to store all four backs so don't have to deal with the bag sealer. Wife cooked it on the stove and was pretty easy, just need to keep an eye on it.

Delicious oatmeal and it cooks well in my rice cooker. Our rice cooker has an oatmeal feature so we just cook it with the rice cooker and it turns out perfectly every time. (Just wish it didn't take almost an hour to cook, definitely need to plan ahead if you cook this way.) We have always loved Quaker oatmeal and only started eating steel cut oatmeal about a year ago. If you have never tried it then you may want to only get a single package as it isn't quite the same as eating regular oatmeal. We still eat both but this one is supposed to be a healthier choice. Highly recommend you try at least once.
