Poor Product and worst customer service
This is a hopeless item, its defective, we are unable to get a replacement and can't ask for a refund. I advice not to buy this product

Me encanto!

Solid little rice cooker shows promise for upcoming travel plans
I bought this compact little cooker for an upcoming trip my wife and I are making to Maui where we will be staying in vacation rental homes. After confirming that the places we'll be staying at don't have rice cookers in their kitchen arsenals, we decided to bring one along since rice is part of our daily diet. After doing the usual research on Amazon, I decided to go with the "Aroma MI 3-Cup" mainly due to it's compact size and good performance reviews.I unpacked and ran a first batch of white rice through it this morning and can report the following: 1) Fit & finish is very good, it feels like a quality made product. 2) Simple, basic operation - add rice & water, plug it in, press the cook tab down (I got the non-digital version) & wait about 20 - 25 minutes. 3) One reviewer reported that this cooker sputters moisture out the vent hole on the cover, making a little mess on the surrounding counter area - this was not my experience, no sputtering at all. 4) On our 120 volt power, I measured its power draw at miserly 220 watts while cooking (the coffee maker draws 1300).Our trip is over a month away so I'll have time to do more testing before we leave, but as of the moment I'm feeling very good about the compactness of this cooker for travel and its simplicity for ease of use. The two things I wish were different: 1) It would be nice to have a removable power cord so you could store it along with the included measuring cup & "mini" rice paddle, in the cooking compartment. 2) It would also be nice to have an audible alert when the cooking process is complete (if there is one, I missed it). Neither issue is a big deal - I put them in the "it would be nice if..." category.

worked like a charm - great pasta in sauce
Very pleased with this Aroma Mi rice cookerWanted a one/two portion cooker of easy meals for convenience and this deliveredI made white basmati ricerinsed the rice first - think this is key to avoiding overflow- used one rice cup measuring cup of rice added to inner pot- added lukewarm warm water to the one cup line- put on lid , turned it on and selected white riceabout 20 minutes later it was done and switched to keep warm moderice was perfect !I have also made chicken in mushroom sauceadded to inner pot 1/2 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and an equal amount of waterstir welladded two boneless skinless fresh chicken breastsput on lid, press start, press white rice buttonlet cook for one cyclenote: steam will come out through the vent during cooking but there was no mess just steam going straight upThe chicken piece that settled to the bottom was a little browned which was a good thingthe chicken was fully cooked and very tenderI cooked this directly after cooking rice and didn’t wash the pot in between and it cleaned up very easily and nothing stuckI cooked elbow pasta in spaghetti sauce1 1/3 cup water1/2 cup sauce1 cup elbow pastaI put it all in, stirred well, put the lid onturned it on and pressed white rice and let it do its thingIt took over half an hour but that was fine as it gave me time to do other things while it did it’s thingI did not add oil and I did not open and stir periodicallyPasta was fully cooked - if you like el dente cook for less time or use thicker pastaNothing scorched, all the pasta was evenly cookedThe pot rinsed clean nothing at all stuck to itFor me there wasn’t enough sauce with this “recipe” from the inclosed booklet but I would not suggest adding more to the cooking. When it was done I left it in warm mode and stirred in more sauce and it heated through. Some steam escaped during cooking which is normal but there was noliquid, no mess.I bought the digital version and it does have an on/off button which is excellent so you can leave it plugged inThis would be great in a dorm or hotel roomLooking forward to trying other things.Chicken thighs in mushroom gravy is next on my list

Cute and handy
We love this handy pot for just the two of us. Makes the perfect amount of rice….white or brown. We love making eggs in it so no need to hover over stove. Only thing I don’t like is that for some reason when we make eggs, it is very hard to clean even after spraying it with a generous amount of Pam. No issues with rice.
