Portable Wrist Yarn Holder - Mini Minder, Prevents Yarn Tangling and Misalignment, Ultimate Companion for Every Knitting and Crochet Enthusiast (Mini)

This is a passable copy of the $35 lemonwood yarn spindle I saw on Etsy. I do have objections if their art work was used, but I don't have $35 for the real one. It is missing the most important piece of hardware and I had to put it on myself, to allow it to spin and not tangle my yarn.

Works as advertised. I found it helpful to put on spool directly from the cake winder so that I had a clear location for the center. Its something that needs to hang to work right so I don't use it as often as I thought I would

On the good side, this actually kept my unruly yarn ball at bay while I was working. On the bad, there is no swivel that allows the unit to turn while you pull your yarn. If pulling from the center, this results in the yarn tightly twisting around the post, and if pulling from the outside, a huge, twisted mess.I’ll continue to use it, but I’ll look for a swivel clip at the hardware store, and maybe sand and clear coat the wood so the yarn slides extra smooth. I do love how it breaks down flat for storage. Lots to work with at this price point.

The manufacturer missed the main point for the yarn holder to be useful - it needs a swivel clip so your yarn ball would rotate freely as you knit, here it is missing. You cannot use the yarn holder without the swivel part.
