I have an 02 Yukon with a 5.3, Was a little somewhat Leary purchasing this with some of the reviews.. people say clamp junk! Rubber boots too big! Compared K&N price.. I was very impressed with what I got for the money! Had no problems! Assembly and installation was awesome! If you're not mechanically inclined.. stick to what you do best and have someone that knows what they're doing install it. Great product for the price! No complaints!

The end product is well constructed and looks great. That combined with the cost savings in comparison to the "big name brands" makes this a good buy. The end product fits into my '05 Tahoe well, though the install is a bit finicky. 4 stars simply because the install was annoying, but it got there...Ultimately, I would buy it again.

Nice inexpensive upgrade for the 5.3L. Throttle response is very noticeable. Didn't notice a sound difference. Airflow is certainly improved judging by the power increase via seat of the pants dyno. Fits well. Good quality.

Fitment was not great at all and instructions for someone who isn't familiar would not be helpful. Only included 2 washers instead of 5 (no biggie, I had spares) 3 Mounting bolts under the old airbox are not perfectly aligned but not that big of a deal as easily pushed into place To make this fit you have to push the air tube almost all the way into the boot for the Throttle bottle, seems like an engineering opportunity to cut the end at an angle Heat gaskets don't really stay in place around the new 'air box' Huge size difference in the rubber coupler for the MAF Sensor (Written as Madd instead of Mass in the instructions, someone else had mentioned spelling errors) The noise dampening peg which barely has any instructions doesn't even line up Even with the tube pushed in as much as possible I see this banging along the inside of the passenger fender. Seems like a lot of corners were cut in designing this (it is made well). Not worth the risk on a vehicle that is 22 years old (2003 Silverado Z71), I feel more comfortable with the stock box or might spend the extra money and go K&N. It's close but not close enough for comfort
