These are fabulous!
Just purchased a second pack of these. I originally bought the 50 pk because I go through a lot of paper towels because I am a bit of a germaphobe in the kitchen. So went through many paper towels because there are just certain things one wants to toss in the trash rather than rinse and wash. While this does not 100% replace paper towel usage, I have greatly reduced my use of them and feel less wasteful, while saving money over the longer haul. These do increase absorbance over time, the more they are washed. Yes, they are a wee bit of extra work and really, only INITIALLY tedious to put on the roll. But once you get the hang of it, they go on easily and quickly—there is just a little bit of a learning curve, there. Be sure to overlap previous edge by an inch or two and roll them a little tight. Set them on the roll to hang correctly (like toilet paper rolling outward toward you, and they stay on the roll). If they are falling off, you didn’t do it quite right. I just wash them in hot water with my kitchen towels. I have also taken to saving paper towel rolls to keep extras pre-rolled in my towel drawer. Now that I have ordered another set, I will have the heavier roll which will be nice, because the regular PT rolls are a bit flimsy, but maybe save one or two, because they will work in a pinch. Only so many can fit on a roll comfortably, so good to have a backup pre-rolled. I find if I let myself run out and get lazy with laundry, I start using more paper towels again, so a backup roll is needed for me because of the way I “roll”. :D Personally, I think these are fabulous. They can also double as use for napkins, folded for coasters, face wipes, etc. As others have said, they will be more absorbent if you wet them and wring them out for a bigger spill or wipe down. I actually re-use some of them for extra wipe-downs kinda like a dish cloth (still use those, too), depending on what it was used for initially. As previously mentioned, I am crazy careful about cross-contamination in the kitchen. Some get used and go right into laundry—some get re-used. Eventually, it will save you lots of money over paper towel use. Yes, there are certain cleanups that are extra yucky and gross that do require paper towels, because you don’t want that funk in your wash and don’t wanna have to rinse, but you can greatly reduce and almost eliminate paper towel use with these. Not quite, but almost. Bottom line, these are highly recommended. They might also make a great hostess gift when showing up at a dinner party or just for fun.

One of the best things I've ever purchased!
These are great! Not only are they beautiful, but they work great. They don't completely replace paper towels, there are some things you just need to pick up and throw away....but have cut down on my paper towel usage by at least 75% for mopping up spills, wiping counter tops down, use as napkins, put snacks on, use under drippy foods and drinks that may spill. They wash beautifully, dry fluffy and re roll on their cardboard roll. These are a great product!

Great and easy to use, environmentally friendly, tedious to put back when clean.
This was one of those purchases I didn’t know if I would use all the time or if it would remain with the dust bunnies in my cupboard. So far, these have been a wonderful asset to my kitchen. When I need something sturdier than a napkin I will use this. They absorb more than a regular size napkin. When I have a spill on the floor and I need more absorption, I will use this. It is thick enough to mop up spills and wipe down sticky little children hands. They dry very quickly, so I find that these do not start to smell like a usual kitchen rag. I do not use these for dishes, so they do not have nasty food stuck in them, but I feel like they hold less bacteria than usual rags because they don’t get that rancid smell. These are very functional. I like these more than paper towels, however, sometimes I need to be very fast with mess cleaning because I have two small children. I like that they are reusable so you are constantly buying more. They don’t have to worry about waiting along time for them to dry so I can stick them in with my other laundry basket items, because they don’t stink, I don’t feel like I have to wash them separately from my other items these work better than Norwegian dishcloth, which I have also tried. And I like that these are environmentally friendly. We were going through too many paper towels and this has cut that consumption down by about half.Cons: So far, the only real con I have encountered is the fact that they are a bit more tedious to put away. With a paper towel, you can just throw it in the garbage. With this, after you are done washing, you have to decide will you fold them or will you put them back on the roll? These hold up fairly well. After a while, they do start to stain a bit, but, that was to be expected.Overall opinion, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. Are use these far more than I ever thought I would. These were worth the money for me.

Amazing! So glad we switched.
We have replaced paper towels! These are a good weight and have saved us so much money on towels. We were using a roll of paper towels every other day and have already seen the savings. I do think the absorbency could be better, but they work very well if you pre wet them and then wring them out to absorb a lot of liquid.Overall these are a great value! I would recommend getting a small trash can to drop them in after use so you can wash them in one go. This really has been a game changer for us.
