Absolutely get this tamping station. The inserts are cut out perfectly for my puck prep tools, it actually comes with rubber inserts and extra rubber feet and a tamping pad for your portafilter! I definitely would opt for the walnut color because it’s not only nice but doesn’t have paint to wear off. 10/10 purchase

Beautiful, minimalist barista tool storage. I don't use it for puck prep, just to store my barista tools in a very sleek fashion. Wood, with a black finish. It fits the aesthetic of my coffee bar perfect, without being "too much". Some puck prep boxes are large, and will dominate the counter. This is a simple, effective solution. If I had one complaint is that it is not inexpensive. Other than that, I couldn't be happier.

I was searching for a tamping base, but mainly to keep my equipment organized. The spaces are perfect for my setup; every piece of equipment fits as it should. The wood is of very high quality and feels great. The base has rubber on the bottom that keeps it firmly in place, and it's just a very well-constructed tamping base. I highly recommend it!

Exactly as described

This was a present for my husband and it was exactly as described. If you love making lattes and need a place for your tamp, this is what you should get.

This is just a rectangular slab of wood, but what a really elegant chunk of wood it is for your espresso tamping needs! This is made completely of walnut wood that has been meticulously routed out to form various cavities, to keep most of your necessary coffee tools handy; as well as leaving an open length of space for tamping –– or simply displaying –– your favorite portafilter. A circular cushion of silicone is included to prevent a tamped portafilter from putting an unwanted dent in the pristine wood surface of this beautifully sanded and lacquered tamping station. There are also 3 other silicone pads that fit in the bottoms of the holes that are currently being exhibited with other Normcore products, of course: the Normcore WDT Adjustable Needle Distribution (V2) tool, Normcore distributor, & Normcore tamper; although, you can use it for anything that will fit in a 75mm hole, or 2 x 60mm holes. Not to forget, there is also a slot cut into the top of this tamping station that can hold 2 or 3 puck screens, too. (I also assume that they are Normcore-labeled puck screens!) The product also includes 4 small, self-adhesive feet for you to attach under the corners of the platform. They are okay, but I prefer ones that are a little larger, because they usually stay on longer and absorb more vibration than tinier feet. Well-made, and surprisingly simple in its elegance. And, absolutely beautiful in WALNUT!

I really like the product, much better than the other tamping station they have which is made in plastic. The accessories fits better too in this one compared to the plastic version. The only reason I didn't give a 5 stars is because the plastic pads under it were a bit damaged/off when I got it.

Keep my kitchen counter neat and when I’m not making coffee, I stack it on the espresso machine. Save space too.
