All metal and satisfying shifts, overall an amazing budget friendly PC shifter
I did not set my expectations high, since this was a budget shifter with no reviews. I saw similar shifters for sale on AliExpress for roughly the same price, but this was through Amazon prime I would be able to return it if needed. But that won’t be necessary. This shifter is amazing. It’s compact, made of all metal, solid, and is very satisfying to shift with. It is a simple but elegant design. It comes with a plastic lock that turns it into a sequential shifter, which also works great! The USB cable is plenty long enough to reach a computer port.Time will tell if this shifter will hold up, but in the first 10 hours of use in Assetto Corsa, it has proven solid.

Impressive quality for the money!
I am not a computer expert by any sense, and have just recently jumped from console to PC gaming. I'm sure there are higher quality units available but at $46 this thing is impressive.I bought this to replace a faulty shifter that came with my Logitech G29 wheel. I wanted something that plugged in directly rather than linking through the wheel. When it showed up I was initially impressed with the build quality, but I did notice that one of the mechanical limit switches inside was bent slightly and the 4th gear position wouldn't register when trying to map it to my computer. I gently bent the little metal tab back straight and now everything works perfect. For the price this thing is much better than the Logitech shifter it replaced. However looking at the internals I'm not confident it will last long term. Only time will tell but I'll be trying to use it gently to not damage any more inner components.

Doesn't work on console!
I don't why but it was recommended to me for Xbox but when I hooked it up it didn't work, turns out that consoles don't recognize the button mapping and would have to be programmed which obviously I don't wanna go through the hassle of. Other then that it had good weight and bolted to my sim perfectly, the shifts felt clean and I liked the way it locked up, I'm sad I didn't get to use it.

2 Broken Shifters
I have now purchased 2 of these shifters within the last 6 months. both of them stopped working just outside the Amazon return window. Both show up as “unrecognized device” when plugged in. tried several usb ports and 3 different computers. Shifter was nice while it worked, at least.

Shifts fine nuts and bolts are basically useless
Operates fine you have to find your own bolts, because the includes are way to short and require larger washer to hold properly

Top plate grinds away
This unit is pretty solid, and I was loving it a lot when I first got it. However, the plate on top of the unit is made of aluminum, while the rod is made of steel. Aluminum is much softer than steel, so consequently mine has ground away after just 1 month of use, and now it has a horrible, crunchy, rough feeling when shifting between first and second, and this will only get worse. Metal flakes are all over the inside, which is concerning for the electronics and bearings. Can't put grease in there either because of the switches right next to the plate...Luckily this plate is removable and I happen to have the means to make a steel equivalent or 3D print a thick plastic one (while plastic is obviously softer than steel, unlike aluminum it has give and should at least wear smoothly).EDIT: I changed this to four stars, because if you learn to be gentle with it, the grinding issue seems largely negated (plus there's a lot to factor in for the price here...) However I'm still concerned about longevity, especially for the little "forks" in between each gear that have the shift rod banging into them all the time

Does not work for PS4 / PS5
This is not compatible with the Logitech G29 for the PS4/ 5. 3 stars for build quality only.

Broke immediately
Immediately broke before first use. One of the sensors fell apart before I was even able to use it.
