Perfect for unimportant tasks
These locks have poor durability and awful breaking points. So why you ask, did I rate these 5 stars? Well, for one, they are stronger than zip-ties and not as easy to cut off (ie with scissors or a knife). The price is amazing for two locks. And both locks are keyless so you don't have to worry about losing a key. Another reason I gave these 5 stars is because from experience in my middle school days, these locks are pretty crappy and easy to break. Therefore, if you are in a chemistry class (from middle school to university) and have to have a mandatory lock on your cabinet, you don't need to pay $20+ for a nice lock that you probably won't have any other use for. This lock is great if you need it to protect things not of value but still would not want to be taken by anyone. For example, if you go to the gym and you have your phone/ipod on you in the gym and all you have are clothes/shoes in your gym locker, this is fine. If you have a backyard and a gate that leads to the alley or street and aren't living in a high crime area but don't want Joe Shmo walking into your backyard just because he can, then this is a good lock. Sometimes all you really need is to show that a lock is present. That nothing will be accessed without some effort to remove the lock- and that may deter most casual thieves. In the school locker rooms, I used to always see kids kick downwards on this lock and force it open. Middle school kids. If in an environment in which people are not usually present throughout the day (School Gym vs Adult/Private Gym) then this lock is useless and you should invest in a stronger lock. This is a lock more for looks/deterrent of amateur thieves. I personally use Sesammee for all my tough/valuable locks Sesamee K436 4 Dial Bottom Resettable Combination Brass Padlock with 1-Inch Hardened Steel Shackle and 10,000 Potential Combinations .

Having the same combination is awesome!
These are the second ones I got for my side-yard gates. The old ones are still fine, but too many people know the combination. These feel significantly cheaper than the old ones, and they are the same part number.Hey Master Lock people, are you going on the cheap now to save money?I thought so...

Love that it's the same combination for each of these locks
This is a great pack and it's very handy. My daughter started middle school this year and while her main locker has a built-in lock, she has 2 elective classes that each require a combination lock. Since these have the same combination, she only needs to memorize 2 total...1 for these two and another for her main locker. So these are helpful. They work great with no issues. Good quality 👍

Fewer combinations to remember? Yes, please.
Love having two locks with the same combo. Whether you use them in different locations or get your lock cut at the gym and have to replace it, having the same combination makes life so much easier. Not the sturdiest, unbreakable security lock, but it's for lockers at school and gym or toolboxes...not Fort Knox. Already purchased a second set. Fewer combinations to remember is worth the price of admission.

they do what they are supposed to do...
I think that it was another reviewer here that had mentioned that "it will keep the honest man out," when I was considering buying the locks, and going through the reviews. I find that review to be extremely accurate.I mean for less than $10 for two locks, it would be naive to anticipate that you would be receiving something that is of bulletproof quality. They do what they are supposed to do though. I use them to lock two cabinets at the school classroom that I am teaching. If somebody comes determined to open them up, I don't think that it's going to take them more than a few seconds to break them apart (depending on how well equipped they are). But they do set a boundary, which is exactly what I wanted them for. Both of them are supposed to have the exactly same combination, but I found that one of the two has the third number increased by one, so if the combination is "x - y - z", one of the two locks opens better if you set it at "x - y - z+1". (no, I am not a math/science teacher).

It's an inexpensive lock!
I like the fact that the two locks come with the same combinations. It's obvious that these are entry-level locks and should be treated as such.I bought them for my gym locker, does the job.

Nice to have two locks with the same combination.
Been in high school? These are basically the exact same things just without the key lock at the back. For starters bothlocks use the exact same combination so you don't need two combos for both locks. The are fairly standard locks compared to others. I personally like these locks because if your going to take a swim, or go the gym, or other places then you really don't need to carry around a key and all you need is to remember the combination. If you can't remember combos then i think a key lock is more suited. I personally purchased to use for taking a swim and locking up belongings. I also use the lock when i am the gym as keys don't jingle in my pocket for when i am the treadmill orsomething.A little funny story, the reason i decided to purchase this set is because i was swimming with a friend and they locked up their belongings with a key. They clipped their key to their pants and guess while swimming the key clip came loose and fell off their swim suit and sunk to the bottom of the pool (roughly about 6m deep, about 20ft). A afternoon swim turned into 2 hours of trying to retrieve the key at the bottom and trying to drive that is very very difficult. The recreation center didn't even have a master key so they had to bust the locker open (that says we were not able to retrieve it.)So in all, that's why i decided to purchase this because remembering a combo is better. The quality of the lock seems standard, i wouldn't recommend this lock if your going to be hiding some extremely valuable just because with some decent bolt cutters. Well it wouldn't really be a lock anymore. The combination feels smooth while turning, some other reviews stated about binding. It does bind sometimes but a quick twist fixes that. Sometimes if not preformed correctly it does take a bit of jolt to open the lock. Otherwise, the lock is okay. Nothing much more to say as they do exactly what it's designed to do. It's nice to have two locks included with the same combination even for a back up.I would recommend, i wouldn't recommend key locks as for myself i have enough keys on my key chain.
