Absolutely no effect on the barking dog. Waste of money.

Worked for a few days, our neighbors dog is constantly barking and I was hoping this would stop their dog. It worked great for a few days and I was excited. After almost a week their dog started barking again. I can only assume it got used to the noise. I'm going to try and cycle it on/off every few days to hopefully get it to stop barking.

This little house actually brings peace to our big house. It was easy to set up, and we saw/heard results immediately. They hate the noise it makes. I lived out in the country with 2 chihuahuas for years. No one ever came by or made noise in our neighborhood except for the occasional farm animal. Now that we live in the city, every leaf that's blowing in the wind is perceived as an enemy. Our neighbors began complaining about my 6 pound monsters. Now we have peace and quiet.

I have 8 little dogs who are barkers - leave the room and come back in 2 minutes, they bark their heads off. I don't want them to stop all barking but JEEZ! I tried this out with them and YES IT WORKS! They definitely heard something because they would bark and look at it. Well to be honest they all was looking at but about 3 of them continuously barked at it. Maybe those 3 it hurt or annoyed them? Not sure. I could see how this would be a good deterrent for strays or neighbors who walk their barking dogs past your house/dogs. But I don't think it will work for me in the house with my dogs. It really aggravated my dogs and they were jumpy and barky for 12+ hours.MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER - you need a 12v battery to use this and will need to be purchased separately!It's definitely worth a shot if you're having problems. I'm a little torn on this item. It does work. I know it's making a sound because my dog reacts and looks in its direction when it's going off. However, it's definitely not stopping my dog from barking. I tried all the volume/power settings, and even on the highest, it doesn't stop my dog. This does mean it won't work for your dog. Mine just might be stubborn and gets more enjoyment from barking even with this this around! It's also significantly smaller than I expected, which I like. It made it easier to place in my yard.

Dogs definitely did not like this item, but it did help them to stop barking outside. Unfortunately, it also made them hate the outside, so they started defecating inside. I moved the device inside and had to watch them over a couple days to correct their behavior. That seems to have solved the issue, but just realize your dog is initially going to loathe the device and think the sound is a bad thing to be around.
