perfect travel/commuter backpack
I took this backpack on my Euro trip last month and it was perfect. I was looking for a not so big, practical, anti theft, and discrete backpack. All my other stuff and clothes was on my suitcase. I needed a backpack to use I felt pretty confident and safe wearing it around a lot of people in subways and major tourist areas. The main zipper is concealed very good, all of them actually. The rain cover came in pretty handy in London. I took it out of its pocket at the bottom and covered the whole backpack in seconds. It did the job in keeping it dry. I also loved that its lightweight and I was able to adjust the straps to where it fit snug on my back and shoulders. It never felt to tight or too loose and hanging low. It is very well made and crafted with great material that does not feel cheap in anyway or that can tear or rip easily.I went to London, Paris, Venice, Florence, and Rome. This was my small extra carry on bag on the airplane. Totally full, It just fit under the seat. I love all the pockets and zippers. I had my headphones and mp3 player, and small snacks in the left side one. Loose change and cell phone on the right side. I had my passport, boarding passes, event tickets and other documents on the hidden pocket that's facing inside, tight on my back. I kept a small mp3 player and the subway pass and hotel cards, on the front shoulder strap slots that have easy access and made boarding trains, buses and entering the hotel a breeze.Inside I had my medium sized fujifilm camera on of the inside slots and a battery power bank and goPro hero 6 on the other. It has two smaller slots on each side where I fit the camera's charger cord, and my goPro's hand grip on the other. I had various camera accessories, batteries, chargers, memory cards, a wall electrical plug adapter, and other cables and charger cords on the inside zippered and top pockets. I also had a fire tablet, a book, brochures, flyers, and maps on the bigger pockets and compartments inside.Even with all this stuff already inside, I was still able to fit two small water bottles, a light rain jacket and small umbrella. I also fit in a couple bags of various souvenirs including two regular sized coffee mugs with two small shot glasses inside each. The backpack is padded enough that I felt safe and never worried about the mugs and glasses breaking.Overall, I can safely say without a doubt that this is the perfect travel backpack, or for regular city commuter use for me. I highly recommend it. I'm so happy I made this purchase. It is well worth the money which is not much.

Fantastic, stylish, intelligent design
For all intents and purposes, this is a great bag. It's super comfortable regardless of how much you pack in it, whether you casually wear it with one strap over a shoulder or traditionally with both straps. It's comfortable for long term wear, looks stylish, and feels secure. I took it with me on two trips to New York this year, used it daily as my main backpack for work, and took advantage of every pocket. Here's the cautionary tale, and it's brief. Four months after initially buying it, the lining just inside the top completely unraveled and came apart, as if the seam was too close to the edge and the material just pulled away from the stitches. Not knowing exactly what the warranty is, I sent an email to the address indicated on the tag that came with it asking about the warranty. The result? "The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending your message later, or contact the recipient directly." Two attempts at emails, and their @outlook.com email address can't take any more messages. Is Kopack a company with a website? Nope. Is their pledge to provide "a 5 star experience" to the customer intact? Shaky. This may be a unique experience - everything that's mass produced can and will have some odd turnouts that are sub-par. On the other hand, caveat emptor; A full email inbox from a generic domain may be an indication that they're not actually intended for heavy use. I will attempt to fix it myself or - more likely - may go the route of finding a more dependable brand with a website and working customer service portal.UPDATE - 12/16After chatting with Diana from Kopack, they arranged a replacement backpack right away, and the entire conversation and process was stress-free. In fact, the backpack I received was an updated design of the same model which feels more sturdy and better organized inside. Thanks to my workload during this busy holiday season, I've stuffed this backpack and used it on a daily basis, and it's fantastic. I can get to everything I need easily and will be travelling with it again soon.As far as customer service and quality control goes, I can absolutely understand how there will always be one-off flaws when it comes to products. The response and follow-up, once they were able to sort out their email issues, were super professional and I really appreciated how they prioritized getting me a new bag. Was I still using the one with the broken lining until I got the new one? Broken or not, it's still a great bag. The new one is now a five star review, naturally.

Perfect backpack for study abroad and college students in general
Alright folks, I am not the type to write reviews, but I'm obsessed with this stupid backpack, so here I am... I previously purchased a Kopack anti-theft backpack in 2017 before I left for a year of study abroad. I was looking for something small enough to fit my laptop and 2-3 days worth of clothes for weekend adventures. The backpack I bought in 2017 was like the 1.0 version of the backpack I am reviewing... It had the sunglasses holder, one strap inside pocket, the luggage strap and lower back pocket, the dual laptop tablet sleeves and a zipper pocket on the inside. But that's it.Cut to about 3 months ago, I was refinishing a piece of furniture and got woodstain on the backpack without realizing it so it fully dried onto my most precious backpack and now looks like a permanent bird poop stain. I was devastated. I loved that backpack, it accompanied me through my last year of college and went to 20 different countries, It made it through 2.5 years of law school and everything in between.Last week, I decided that because I am finishing law school and going out into real grownup land, I simply can not have a backpack that looks like I just got crapped on by a flock of pigeons. So I ordered another trusty Kopack backpack, this time in dark gray instead of the light gray I had before. This backpack has everything... Sunglasses holder, dual card pockets, the lower back pocket which I actually use all the time, PLUS the charging port thingy and they made a little top pouch for a phone/small tablet? Incredible. 10/10.
