The Art of The Creator: Designs of Futures Past

I am adding a wide assortment of quality books to my growing library and this was a perfect addition providing some gorgeous illustrations and imagery for this film. My daughter is an growing actress and it provided her with some insights and ideas into the industry.

The media could not be loaded. I have a decent collection of “art-of” books and this is easily one of my favorites. On its own, the story behind the making of The Creator is fantastic, but this book offers so much more. There is the perfect mix of commentary supported by everything from concept art to high fidelity illustrations and on-set photography. It’s interesting, inspiring, and makes for an incredible coffee table book.

I love the movie. This book adds depth without taking away from the movie experience.

If you loved the film or sci-fi and dystopian aesthetic, you’ll love this book!

I may be biased, but I thought this book was pretty great :)

Disappointing. This is essentially an on paper version of the 55 minute video you can see on youtube. There is less art in here than there is story telling about the different locations they shot at and the efforts and troubles of the film crew and actors. I'd hoped for more concept art, no matter how rough, and to see how the physical props were created for on screen use.

The movie is stunning and the book has far surpassed my expectations. The print is a 'bit' dark BUT the content, breadth of information, expansive insight and treasure trove of art is incredible. Also really appreciate artists being credited for their work throughout the book. So many of these types of books end up being 'studio' books with little to no credit of the designers who put the hard work in to bring the property to life. This Art Book is the opposite of that.HIGHLY recommended.

Ich hoffe wirklich, dass es sich bei der Kindl Version nicht um ein repräsentatives Gegenstück zum Buch handelt. Die Kindle Edition sieht aus wie ein Schulprojekt eines Fünftklässlers und wird der visuellen Qualität des Films in keinster Weise gerecht. Warum die Printversion hierzulande 75€ kosten soll erschließt sich mir bis mir auch nicht, zumal dasselbe Buch in UK für 35£ zu haben ist. Ich hoffe dass es sich vielleicht um einen Fehler handelt (sowohl der Preis, als auch das Layout des digitalen ARTbooks) jedoch rate ich jedem, den Film lieber zweimal im Kino schauen zu gehen und die tollen Visuals live zu bestaunen, als einmal unnötig Geld hierfür aus dem Fenster zu schmeißen. Sehr enttäuschend.

I usually buy Kindle book as i have too many books, i prefer physical books but have no space anymore. Most Kindle Art book i bought respected the hardcover design book landscape layout, this one is a vertical layout book, things look totally unstylish compared to the hard cover version, all pages are white artwork are in super small thumbnail images...so disappointing...don't buy kindle...

Initially, I purchased the Kindle version of this book which was nothing like the beautiful and richly laid out real book, even if quite expensive. Night and day difference!The Kindle version of this book is nothing like the real book. That was extremely disappointing, so I returned it!

Got this as a present for my husband in the film industry. He adores it! Loads of great information and imagery, and some really fascinating insights
