BETTER THAN CALVIN KLEIN MICRO MODAL PRODUCT
I have been wearing Calvin Klein’s micro modal v-neck and crew neck t-shirts for years as both undershirts and casual lounging shirts / pajama shirts, and was willing to pay the premium price tag because I was never able to find anything better; they’re soft, fit nicely and have just the right amount of stretch. And then I decided to go out on a limb and try these David Archy v-necks, fully expecting to regret the decision and deal with the annoyance of returning them but figured it was worth the risk given the significantly lower price point.I’m glad I took the risk. Much to my surprise, I found the David Archy product to be superior in every respect notwithstanding the lower price. Specifically:(1) The David Archy shirts stay feeling softer / newer for longer thank the CK shirts, which seem to loose some of their ultra comfortable feel after a few weeks of wear.(2) The shirts feel slightly thicker and higher quality than their CK counterparts and as a result are more durable through numerous wash cycles. Not only does the fabric itself hold up better but the whites stay whiter and blacks stay blacker longer.(3) They don’t have any annoying tags sewn into the inside of the shirt that wind up being scratchy against your skin.(4) The “v” in the v-neck generally holds up better than the CK version, which seems to get a big crinkly and not as crisp after a few washes.(5) I find that the shirts just generally drape better over my body (athletic build) than the CK shirts. In my view, the only drawback of these David Archy shirts is that they only come in a v-neck version (at least at the time of this review); I wish they also made a crew neck version. If you’ve got a drawer full of CK micro modal t-shirts like I once had and are considering taking a chance on this David Archy product as an alternative, I’d strongly encourage you to do so. You won’t be disappointed. Never mind the lower price — it is simply a superior product.

It runs a little big
It stains really easy and runs big. Other than that...This is probably the most comfy shirt I've ever owned. Lightweight, breathable, not flattering but it's as soft as a cloud filled with angel splooge.

stretchy material is so comfortable and soft, even silky
First time with this material. My husband loves the stretch and comfort of this material and fits his body well. The extra long is a great benefit. No more butt crack showing!

Almost perfect
These shirts are awesome. The wick sweat really well and dry quickly. Modal material is super soft and comfortable. Only complaint is the neck hole is slightly bigger than i would like. Still recommend these.

Finally found true modal
Absolutely great ! The fabric, the fit . I had trouble finding true modal . This is the only fabric my husband uses for work in the desert heat, it is a breathable fabric and soft . Great price.

Great feel and performance
Best undershirts I have. Used to buy the multipacks from Calvin Klein but these micro modal undershirts are soo damn soft and stretchy. My new go to. Great for hot, sweaty days.

These are perfect! for MN summers as well as year around.
My husband also has the Amazon Choice version of these shirts also but these are lighter weight and the sleeves are slightly shorter so they don't go below his summer knit shirts. It will be good to have choices depending upon the weather and his short sleeve shirt he is wearing. It was a great purchase and loved the sale price.

Silky soft, but wrinkled and smelly
First, I'm keeping them and expect to wear them. They are very soft and I expect they will work well as a wicking base layer undershirt. But my first impression when popping them out of the product bag was the smell of turpentine. They looked great, weren't wet... but absolutely reeked.Thankfully solved with a single wash.Leading to my second complaint. I have a number of shirts in similar materials and I have never seen any of my shirts wrinkle as bad in the same low temp delicate cycle in my washer and dryer. Thankfully I buy my undershirts tight fitted, so probably won't show when worn. The length is very long for a T. Great for tucking in and staying warm; not a great style otherwise.

Your Guide to Cotton, Bamboo Rayon, and Micro Modal
TL;DR - Cotton (Casual daily top), Bamboo Rayon (Fitness & Sport), Micro Model (Fitness & Sport, Sleep, Undershirt). Markings on the T-shirt rub away and are likely just due to shipping.Cotton/Spandex - Heaviest and thickest material, albeit still on the thinner side. Good stretch. Normal draping. Matte finish. I could wear this in summer and still feel a breeze. Texture is similar to Uniqlo Supima cotton, but smoother and feels much softer.Bamboo Rayon - Similar to performance sports material. Medium thickness. Very stretchy. Drapes like fitness wear, so unforgiving in the wrong light. Has a slight sheen to it. Very comfortable for sleeping and activity alike, but not for casual wear. It would work just fine as an undershirt.Micro Modal - Very lightweight material. Similar to Uniqlo Airism material. Very stretchy. Drapes like fitness wear, though it seems to have slightly less of a sheen compared to the bamboo rayon. This material feels the most like an undershirt, but compared to other brands the design can totally be worn as a casual top.PERSONAL IMPRESSIONSI am 5'4 and slim. I purchased the small size. Each fit reasonably well. Not perfectly fitted, but shoulders fit perfectly. Overall length was just a smidge too long, but within tolerance. Width was decent overall, but I found the Micro Modal fit a bit better as it was slightly slimmer compared to the other two. Unfortunate, because I personally would not wear the Micro Modal out as a casual top as I find the material a bit too thin.I typically purchase my basics from Uniqlo, but given the increase in cost and middling quality I am likely to switch entirely over to the David Archy line where I am able. The David Archy cotton T's are comparable in price to the Uniqlo Dry T's, but are at the Supima cotton level quality, which is quite a bit more expensive.LONG TERM USAGE (Cotton/Spandex Only)COLOUR (To be updated)PILING (To be updated)LONGEVITY (To be updated)

Good fit, good quality
Finding good form-fitting shirts is a nightmare! They're either woefully expensive or they aren't made of the right materials (a cotton shirt isn't form-fitting, it's just tight). I've been rocking a men's shirt from REGNA for the past years and would have bought more of theirs if they still manufactured it.So instead I had to find a new brand, and I stumbled onto David Archy. The investment price was a little high but I took the leap a month or two ago. These have a completely different feel to other form-fitting shirts I've worn. These are much "softer" and stretchier. It took me a while to get used to the sensation. The good thing is that they vent your skin a lot better. I've found that I sweat less egregiously while wearing this shirt which is great as I have poor temperature regulation and tolerance. If you wear this as a primary shirt, you will have to regularly "pull it down" just for ease of mind, but it typically fits well and should stand up to the rigors of physical exertion. The v-neck is also modest. Other shirts often have really deep v-necks that put all of your chest hair on display. These are more reserved and presentable. The sleeves are admittedly really short, at least on me. Not a huge deal.

Careful! You have to be a hardbody for these to look decent
It’s nice soft material, but these show everything! You can’t wear these out in public if you’re at all body conscious… not one bit.So know before you buy, these shirts are not at all body friendly. If you’re built perfectly you’ll likely like these, but normal folks won’t. Be aware.

My reaction to the newest shirts is not positive
Something about the shirts changed since I first bought them. They do not fit as well overall or on the biceps. I am disappointed in the newer product. I reduced the stars to 3 from 5. My current comments are that the shirt is cut differently throughout and in the arms. The small should fit me and my arms snugly but does not. The small is a little sloppy on me and the arms are not snug on my arms. I bought these shirts because they fit me snugly for the first time in a T-shirt. I hate T-shirts that are all sloppy and the arms big. As the material is stretchy there is no good reason why the arms have been changed in the negative way. I am, as you can tell, very disappointed. My earlier comments were: Size small fits well and looks great (all other t-shirts I have to buy medium). This is the most comfortable and best looking t-shirt I have every worn. I will buy more, in black and in white. Comfortable, cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather. First t-shirt that ever fit my biceps properly as the material tightens nicely around the upper arm. Travels well too; when all other clothing looks wrinkled coming out of the suitcase, this t-shirt looks smooth and polished when worn. Equally at home in this t-shirt on the beach, in the yard, in stores, at professional events, by itself or under a jacket.
