These clamps are strong and sturdy! They are not hard to open and they do stay in place once clamping onto something. The clamps can easily hold a rolled up quilt while I am hand quilting and it makes the job easier. The clamps strength are excellent and they are great for stretching quilts on the table as well. I also found other uses of these clamps outside of my sewing room, they can hold onto a huge shade cloth in the wind in my garden!

These Madam Sew Quilting Clamps are quite strong and very versatile. They come six to a box in pretty pastel colors and, despite their appearance, have a really good grip when applied. It almost takes two hands to open them initially. They are about 6 inches long and lightweight, with a 5 inch maximum opening. They are intended to hold quilting materials, but can be used in many different crafting projects as well. With spring loaded steel clips, they should last for quite some time. I am very pleased with this product.

They work great for clipping a quilt to tables for pinning. I use mine on one of the plastic folding tables and the hold the back/batt/top sandwich together on the table well. They are easy for me to clip and reposition on the table edges. can get these open with one of my problem hands. They make pinning -with less puckers- much easier so they are a good value. They colors make them easy to find when I misplace them

I like the size and strength of the clamps. They are a little bulky, but are serving the purpose of holding my rolled quilt edges while I embroider the center details.

I like these clamps because of their solid sturdiness to hold a large, fat roll of quilt in place. It took me a few tries to open the tight grip. I learned to use both hands to pull the clamps open at their wide points or press my palm to open them at the hand grips. I can place the grips along the roll or at the ends. Either way, they help manage the quilt's bulk while sewing on a conventional sewing machine.
