Instructions are marginal. Should have a warning to insert reel into frame and then, and only then, insert crank handle shaft, penetrating both frame and reel holes. The shaft is held in place by four tabs with ears - very difficult to remove. Further, Al tubing is attached to frame with self tapping screws. You'll find it really helps to pre-drill holes.Additionally, it requires a hose with regular fittings to connect the reel to the faucet. None is provided with the product.Lastly, if installing as a wall mount, you will have to use 2X4 or larger at both top and bottom of frame to provide enough standoff room for the reel to turn.Other than the above, it's a fairly decent hose reel.

Do not buy this shoddy reel. The assembly instructions are wrong. When I finally got it together properly every joint or snap on connector leaked like a sinking ship. I am stick with it and will use it at the end of season to just reel up my hose for storage. I am not knew to putting things together I used to assemble Ikea furniture for people and some of it was high end and complicated.I was hired by Ikea to do it.

First, the instructions are trash, and the images are mirror imaged in some cases, suggesting arrangements that are not possible. Then the crank shaft can be inserted exactly once, so any mistake renders the item useless.Second, the materials are incredible cheap.Third, it can only be stored on the wall; if you try to use it while on the wall, it will tear off.Do not buy.
